I Need Some SEO Advice

G'day Warriors,

I need some SEO Advice on my site www.racingjobs.com.au

I am dominating for the term "Racing Jobs" (probably due to my domain)however I am now trying to also target the term "Horse Jobs".

If anyone is able to take a look at my site and let me know what I could be doing from an SEO point of view to improve my ranking for the term "Horse Jobs" it would be much appreciated.

    You should check out the sticky post under the SEO forum here.

    On your main page, I don't think it will rank well for the term.

    For the term 'horse job', you may want to add in more of the term horse job in the texts of the website. Then again, it may be easier if you start another page or website and optimized it for 'horse job' term.

    The term horse job should at least be in the title, h1 tag and about 2% in the article body. These are just some of the basics.

    There really is no text on the page to rank you for those keywords you are targeting. Your on page factors greatly outweigh any off page seo work you do.

      In my experience, off page SEO has a far greater impact on improving your search rankings, but onpage SEO can help of course.

      I suggest you make a separate page with a slug "horse jobs" and optimize it using the phrase in title, headline and making sure it is mentioned atleast few times throughout the article. There's tons of free guides for on-page SEO optimization.

      However, backlink building is far more important. Build quality backlinks to the targeted site with "horse jobs" as anchor text and you should start seeing improvement.

    Just keep building backlinks to your site with your targeted keyword, you should start ranking for those terms.

    Make sure you have plenty of good, relevant content on your site about the phrase you are targeting, optimize it, then dig in on building backlinks with targeted anchor text.

    You need more back links with anchor text is "Horse Jobs". Your domain do not contain the words horse jobs, so you will have some disadvantage.
    Build back link step by steps with many ways, you can gain the love from Search Engine. But you need the love from your readers also, improve your content, give the good for your visitor and they will introduce your site for free.
