A friend of mine was so worried by the Google Panda update that he never built the new site he was planning to.

That's probably why it still ranks so poorly... ;-)

    Let me see if I got the facts right, you say the site "that he never built", "still ranks so poorly"? :confused:

    Yeah, none of the sites I "never built" rank well either.

    I guess the moral of the story is you can't win if you are not in the game.

    Why not suggest to your friend that it is now easier to rank a new website because of the Panda update? The Panda update cleared a lot of pages out of the index making room for your friend's new pages.

      Yes, but that's a good thing for your potential competitors, so please stay out of the market. I want all of my competition to just throw up their hands and say "since Panda update, why bother?"
