How good are DoFollow, Pr-2-6 Blog comments?

Even if they aren't relevant to your site, how strong would you say they are compared to any other?

Good if used in moderation. It can be an obvious sign if your ratio of DoFollow to NoFollow is way off, especially on DoFollow spam farms.....miiiiight not be so good. We have seen a couple of our sites in the beginning drop 10 to 20 points because of that.

It is like any tool..you just need to know how to use it. A hammer can either help you hang a picture on the wall...or smash your thumb

Those are alright. The key with linkbuilding is to create backlinks on a regular basis. This is what Google likes.

So how often are you creating backlinks, and do you ever stop if your on the 1st place?

Im creating alot of sniper sites, small niche sites, how do you think from your experience that I should create backlinks?

I don't create backlinks for myself but I create linking campaigns for my clients. Most clients that are working hard on a site order every week or every other week.

If you stop creating links all together this would not be good. You can be outranked position 1 after some time.

Diversity in SEO is key to success ...

As the word optimization in "seo" says not much and not less...........
So high pr dofollow is good..

But you should more concern on pr of page which contains your backlink rather than pr of homepage...

Backlinks, especially if they are dofollow & on a domain with a PR of 4+, are extremely good, regardless of whether or not the domains where the backlinks are placed are relevant to your site.

if the links are not relevant to your site then it will no longer help you to gain reputation online. The backlink should be come from niche site.

This couldn't be farther from the truth.

A link is a link, but they vary in the quality and linkjuice that gets passed along. If you don't think this is true, check out competitive terms around pills/pharma and you'll get a good idea that this isn't the case.

Make sure you are link building in a slow and steady manner...
Also the backlinks should come from sites that are relevant to what you are promoting.

They can actually help increase your website rankings. If you're building links manually, then you should consider these factors.

JoySEO said it best, diversity is key

by all means, grab some of these High PR comments, they're bound to have an effect especially if these pages have low OBL. Don't rely on them for all your backlinking though, you need diversity to really get a high ranking in Google.

    Posting on all blogs.
High PR and low PR NoFollow, and high and low PR DoFollow.

    The key is consistency.

If the forums is irrelevant, there's always curiosity in the readers. My experince shows that they click at the same rate on the irrelevant forums compared to irrelavant forums. No matters if irrelavant or not. Just be helpful in the forums and it does the job done.

My approach is to have a diverse backlinking pattern for Google, which would therefore include a blog commenting.

However, I wouldn't rely on them. Google knows Blog commenting is how most marketers get their rankings up and relevancy is important.

PR is important, but you need to also look at the number of outbound links on the site. If there are a lot, your link is going to be virtually worthless.

Lot's of people get all excited about geting a PR6 backlink, but the page they are linking from has 300 outbound links. That is a worthless link.

But, isn't that all relative to the quality and number of backlinks to the site your getting the link from?

No, I'm talking about the number of links that site has linked to.

A PR 3 backlink from a site linking to only 2 other sites is far greater than a PR 3 backlink from a site linking to 75 other sites.

            Right, I get that ;-)

But, what I was saying was isn't it all relative, for example

site a has PR3 with 3 outbound links and XX number of high quality backlinks?

and site b PR3 with 75 outbound links BUT has XXX number of high quality backlinks?

Do you get what I mean?

True. The PR value is divided between the number of sites they are linked to.

i think it is important that the backllinks come very close to the niche you are in! i have been looking into the "scrapebox blog commenting" which is a good tool to have. julia (strategic seo services above) is offering the service for $14. one of the good thing about the software is that you can search for your exact niche and post comment on auto.

PR2-PR4 do-follow blog comments are good, it all depends on what pages those 5-10 anchor text liners are arriving. If there are 200 do-follow links arriving daily to the PR2 page, the link juice won't be worthless, but just won't be as effective as I assume you want it for long term linking/ranking boost.

I eliminated the blog comment offering from my own deals mainly because of that reason - link value. You can have 1,000's of linking options, just consider doing the ones that have really work well for you.

Consistency is the key! Keep doing what you are doing, but remember backlinks and content are like a marriage. Got to do both all the time
