Few Questions - Backlinks, Pinging, Indexing, etc.

I was hesitant to post this as I've been scouring the forums for quite a bit trying to soak up as much knowledge about SEO as I could before posting a new thread, but a few of these I couldn't find anywhere.

I've pretty much gotten the backlinking part down, between buying thousands of profile links really cheap and creating my own with Sick Submitter.

1) Is profile backlinks, indexed properly, enough for off-site SEO? Or do you have to have articles, directories, blog posts, etc?

2) Can you "over" ping your backlinks when trying to get them indexed? I have around 1500 profile backlinks right now and I don't know if a one time ping is good enough or should I ping them multiple times on multiple pingers? Can you overping your profile backlinks to where it causes a negative affect on them? Is it possible to ping too much?

3) Is pinging the backlinks enough to get majority of them indexed, or should I use other methods as well?

Basically, my website is stealth---trades.com, with no dashes. If you google "best stock pick service" you'll see that its on the first page for that keyword all ready, which I honestly have no idea how. It's a brand new website and the only backlinks that are indexed seems to be 11. Unless the tool I'm using isn't accurate. Can anyone reccommend a free tool to see all the back links I have on my website? And can anyone explain how minimum seo has my site on the first page of Google for that keyword all ready? There are 34 million results for that keyword, seems unlikely that I reached page one so quickly.

Anyways, what I'm mainly concerned about is, is getting a couple thousand profile links and pinging them enough to get me ranked higher? Or should I get deeper with the SEO?

Thanks for any help.

    1) No, you should not just have profile links. You should diversify your links. Articles, blog comments, profile links, bookmarks...

    2) No, you can't over-ping the links. All you are doing is telling the search engines to crawl your links. Pinging them over and over again will not get it done any faster.

    3) You can make more backlinks to your current links to help index them.

And I'm not sure how you got up there so fast, it is probably just Google dance. Check in a few days and you might not be there anymore.

As far as a free tool to check your links, use site explorer. If you are looking for a paid tool that checks your backlinks more in depth you can check out SEO Spyglass.

If you want to flatter Google, you had better submit some high-quality articles and high-quality links! The quantity of link is not enough, even it may help you a lot! Also the content stuff is Google's taste!
