A few days ago I deposited $10 into a PPC network. I created a campaign, set up my adgroups, added my keywords, created my ads and set my bids at 10 cents.

Everything looked great and I started to receive clicks.

Yesterday I received an email saying they had improved my campaign for me. I thought that was very odd since they never consulted me first.

So I quickly logged into my account and noticed that they had added some more keywords to each adgroup. Keywords that were totally unrelated to what I was promoting. Some keywords were even targeted to another niche - yes another niche!

Luckily I didn't get many clicks so didn't waste too much money. If I hadn't noticed I could have received 100's of clicks I didn't want.

So I deleted all the keywords and was left with the ones I had chosen for each adgroup.

Naturally I was furious that they go into my campaign and add keywords they thought would help improve my campaign WITHOUT my permission.

Well it gets worse.

I sent them an email last night saying I didn't want any help (in the nicest possible way ) that I would rather have full control over my campaigns.

Today I checked my campaign and all their keywords were back again. So I deleted them all - again!

The quality of the traffic is good but if they continue to mess around with my adgroups adding keywords I'm going to have to advertise elsewhere.

Well name them so we can avoid them, I agree they shouldnt be messing with your settings, they should have emailed you advising you instead !

That no at all funny especialy considering that you've deleted the addtional key words in the first place. Why add them again? Very suspicious.

    The network is Addynamo.

I suspect they have some software that adds keywords as the ones that re-appeared today were the same ones I deleted yesterday.

My first adgroup contained 14 keywords, they added another 25 keywords which were completely untargeted.

My second adgroup contained 13 keywords, they added another 25 keywords, same as the first campaign.

Good job I didn't create hundreds of adgroups isn't it?

    Two things I find worrying.

    1. They didn't ask me first, they just went ahead and added them and informed me later.

    2. They added keywords that were untargeted.

Their "help" is not helping me one bit. It's helping them make more money though.

So frustrating as their interface is better than Adwords and Adcenter. It's fast and simple to use.
And their traffic is actually good.

I just wish they would leave my campaigns alone!

Take your money out of your account and send them a nasty letter!

Nothing worse than shoddy business practices, especially those that are designed to churn your account as these seem to be.

If this happens again I will. I'm watching my adgroups very closely right now. If they add those keywords just one more time I'll withdraw my money and take my business elsewhere.

Have you received an answer to your email? Never used them but you may want to check your settings. There may be one somewhere that allows or disallows your campaigns getting automatically "optimized"

They answered very quickly and suggested that they targeted additional sites to the campaign for additional exposure.

I don't want THEM doing anything! There is an optimized setting and guess what? It's hidden away and set to default so anyone creating a campaign beware!

Problem is after I unchecked that option the unwanted keywords still were added.

    Hi guys

Im actually pretty sick of these dodgy PPC firms, I have added loads of different onse before and had my money taken from me just as they are about to payout.

As for bidadvertiser, clicksor and adbright, add their ads to your webpages and see how many backlinks your passing to them, you will fall off your chair !

No wonder Adsense at top of the tree there really isnt much competiton.
