I cant seem to figure out how to track on commission junction. I know you can add the tid code for keywords but If I use google adwords to sent people to my landing page and people click link on my landing page to go to vendor site and possibly make me commisson, then how do I track the keyword or figure where sale came from ie which keyword or was it craigslist or twitter, etc.
Thanks

    Hi ron200,

There a number of ways to track it. I have found the most straight forward way to do it is by setting up a database that assigns a unique TID and I add that TID as a URL parameter to the destination URL. Of course you need to use one keyword per ad group to accomplish this.

AdWords will report the click data, a simple landing page script will capture the TID and append to the hoplink, and Commission Junction will report the sales. Import the AdWords and CJ data into tables in your keyword/TID database and write a query for a report.

Any Web Application programmer can easily do this if you don't have the skills. Or look for a pre-written application and integrate it into your website.
