Multiple domains on same IP

OK, here's my question. I have 250 domain names, they are registered with 4 or 5 different registrars but hosted on same IP. If I build links between my websites am I risking to get in trouble? I am not looking to link spam, I'm looking to build related links. If I link to books.cat with ancor text 'book' then I would place links on book.reviews.ee and book.stores.ee or used.ee/books etc. So the keyword is in title and url of the sites, where I place the links to.
And the other thing is I want to boost 2 or 3 sites, so on every website I will add a counter that links to my stats.ee website and every site's footer will have: this web template is courtesy of templates.ee
This is what I would do if there was no Google. I mean if I wanted to spam I would host sites on 10 different webhosts, but if google found out that would probably mean penalty for all sites. Or am I wrong? What do you think?

  • No, but it's not going to do you any good. Search engines tend to ignore links among sites on the same IP.

    • But linking each other he can use his traffic repetitively.
  • Definitely pickup some SEO hosting, or get 5-10 cheap hosting accounts across 5-10 reputable providers.

  • You should be OK, yea you should not expect to earn backlink juice from Google for those links, as long as they are not part of a bigger devious plan, and you have other solid external backlinks you should not receive the Unnatural Linking Pattern notification the webmaster tool now issue on occasion.

Thanks for the link. I guess that's exactly what I wanted to hear.

"They just turned this whole thing into a big network. And, they all interlink into each other in very intelligent ways. Related products will hop from one page to another. You know, barstools.com will hop right to over to dartboards.com in a somewhat related play"

The keyword here is "interlink in intelligent ways". I 'm thinking of context links, not index page or link page links.

    • Any recommendations on SEO hosts?
  • It won't effect each other! Google will not consider too much on this! Usually, the multiple websites aim to get more traffic and improve the products or online business!

Can anyone recommend good webhosts? I think I go for at least 5 different hosts. I've got over 400 domains now and want to spread them across several webhosts, not only for SEO but also for backup purposes. Please do not recommend dreamhost or another host where one runs into similar problems like with dreamhost. Here's my story, what happened to me a few days ago
