Hi I wonder if someone could guide me.
I have a niche site that have 8 articles waiting to be added and also I have planed to build ~500 links this month. My question is
1. which should be done first which is second in order to maximize SEO.
2. also should I post those article in article directories like Ezine or Articlebase?
3. should I build links to index page with only main keyword or link back to all articles with longtails

Thanks

Do both Keep adding new articles at least 1-2 times per week, and build new backlinks every day.

I think you have to add article first.. then start to build link... because in the link you can put anchor text based on keyword that you have in articles.

Depends on how many articles are already on your site. You definitely want some content first before you start trying to promote the site with backlinks.

You could definitely start the backlinking process but I would not go overboard. Definitely mix in articles and link building over this next month for a more natural feel.

I would add about 3 articles then spend atleast a couple weeks getting a few backlinks everyday and then start adding content slowly but consistently and doing the same with backlinks.

Dont add your articles too fast though, there really is no point, Ive found spreading it out like 1-2 articles at most a day is a better approach but you may have a different experience, who am I to say.

Remember to always make sure articles are published and indexed on your site first, if that's what they are for. Why let some article directory benefit from them? After they are indexed, knock yourself out, I often mass-submit adapted versions of my site articles once they are safely indexed.

As for whether to backlink your home page or to spread it around, honestly I am not sure right now - I did do this with an EMD a few months ago but did not get it to #1 until I had added some anchor text variations in there, and I think some linking to subpages too. But some people say that for a small microniche EMD you can get away with just bashing away at the root domain with the exact anchor text. I am just not sure, the game seems to be changing, or at least uncertain right now, so my feeling is it's worth mixing things up a little more, even if that means taking longer to rank, to avoid any possible current or future algorithm changes.

Websites with all or most of the backlinks pointing to the homepage usually doesn't look natural; this is especially true for blogs, and Google is adept at figuring out what type of site you have. Additionally, it's important to get link juice flowing to your internal pages in the same way you would for articles, Web 2.0 sites, etc that point to your site. Just because the page sits on the same domain doesn't mean you should neglect it. Links are links. Once you get the linkjuice flowing to some of your less important pages you can redirect it to more important pages through additional internal linking, 301's, etc.

I was just wonder its better for your website to add both backlinks as well as articles in every regular intervals, but you should more concentrate in adding backlinks.

I think you should do both in the same time...Add content while build backlink...It's so hard if you do it by yourself..But you can use baklink service if you want..

You do both. You create the articles and build the back links. It takes a little of everything.
