.net or .org, physical product site

Hi guys, which do you think is better, .org or .net?

I searched this subject, and didn't find anything, so thought I'd ask.

From an seo point of view, are they both the same, or is one stronger than the other?

Personally, I prefer .net for sites that are promoting a product etc and .org for an informative site... however, I'd go with what ever google prefers.

    I agree with your assessment, it's a stretch to use.org for anything but "organizations" although an information site seems to best match the spirit of the .org.

    Apparently the .biz extension, although more appropriate has a reputation damaged by misuse.

    In my experience, speaking SEO-wise, it makes no difference.

    .org can be perceived by the general public to be not for profit organisations, so for branding the .net is good - but a .com is much better.

    I think .net suits a physical product better. It doesnt really matter in the end both extensions rank well and are seen as quality.
