I have local business and I built a web site for it. When I registered my domain I used the name of my business instead of my main keyword. I am new at all of this but I was reading about Local SEO and found that I could rank better if my keyword was in my domain. So I registered another domain with my main keyword in it.
I need help on a domain name

I have the domain setup as an add on domain at my Hostgator account.
I won't to keep my original website as it is right now because of the backlinks that I have paid a fellow warrior to do on it.
My question is should I do a redirect of the new domain and point it towards the old domain OR can I build a new website "say a single page site using the new domain and using the same keywords as my original site and link back to the pages of my old site from the new site.
