Site Rank Lost 7 days ago, come back today

1. site rank lost
i get a site which start to make 100+ UV everyday. but lost his all google traffic at 2011.6.7.

this is the first time that i lost all the ranking on one site. i make only a little backlinks to this site but a lot original content (about 150 artciels) to this site which bring traffic through many unexpected long tail keyword.

this site is based on amzon product review, so there is a lot amazon affilaite link in post. average 2 links in each posts.


2. before the ranking lost what did i do
there is a wordpress plugin called "Web Ninja Auto Tagging System" which will automatically generate about 10+ relative tag to your post when is it inserted/updated. which mean my site will adding 10+ url once a post has been added if the tag url are counted.

2.1 about 50 written article from elance is coming to me. so i start to add content at the speed of 10 each day. there was no new content to site for 15 days. with the plugin i mention above my site seem to adding 100 pages each day. this seem to be to fast content increasing to a small site.
2.2 two backlink packets are ordered from fiverr. none of those backlinks packets are targeting my homepage site. they are linking to my innerpage. the style of backlinks of the two order are link pyramid but based on forum profile links. it is heard that google start to ignore or penalty forum profile links. i'm not sure about this. but the links type i get is forum profile links. and the quantity is huge. about 3000 forum profile links to each page.

above two activity is the most suspicious reason that i feel may result in my site's ranking lost.
1. mass content adding
2. mass single type link created.


3. after ranking lost what have i done
if you have such kinds of experience you will know how frustrated the feeling is. i'm just shocked and just don't know what to do and what not to do. i dare not to touch this site and start to lost confident on IM cause it is so out of control.

what i can do is just hanging around on warrioforum to see if any "victim" like me is here in warriorforum.

without surprise i find many threads talking about google ranking lost.

Gruadually i start to find out "google ranking lost" is just one part of IM life. IM DO work this way. fortunately i find many suggestion from those who lost their ranking and get their ranking back. here is one that i benefit a lot. i'm doing three thing after the rank lost
1. start adding content. but much slower. 2-3 post every day. and remove the plugin "Web Ninja Auto Tagging System".
2. add a "privacy policy" using a wordpress plugin called "Easy Privacy Policy"
3. Request reconsideration to google.
in the letter i honestly say two thing:
a. i'm using "Web Ninja Auto Tagging System" which look like content adding too quick
b. i'm buying backlinks from fiverr.com which is a lot of forum profile links.

4. no backlinks making. actually i'm not making backlinks to homepage. all traffic is just from content long tail keywords.


then.... hopeless waiting ~

after 7 days. my site ranking comes back.
today, i check the webmaster tool, it is found that my site pass the reconsideration at 2011.6.10. the rankign resume today.

the message google telling is "your site is not garbage site".

5. conclusion
from the letter of google it can be telling that my site are not penlaty as garbage site. so why does the ranking lost? i personal analysis it is two reason:
1. mass content adding which make google feel that it have to reidentical the site. so G just put the site in sandbox, if G feel enough familiar with your site, he will let your site out of sandbox.
2. algorithmic update will usually result in this thing happen.

so, if you are facing ranking lost as i did, my suggestion is keep adding content CONSISTENTLY make google feel your site is alive. then be patient( really not easy ), your site will be back.
