SEO nightmare

YES, i have spent a night creating a lens on squidoo,so i can get on page 1 on Google, yahoo,Bing.

this my nightmare.
-i don't know the length of keyword or phrase that google takes as a ''keyword''.
for example: let say i want to use 3 keyword phrase.
1) diet sucks
2) diet world
3) diet world that sucks

a day went without my site being index.
today i just went to google, and type the whole url in the google search bar.because i can't find my lens writing the words squidoo than the title or the keyword behind the url

i really don't know the limit of a keyword.
let say the limitation is 3 words.
than i would be index for the words diet sucks and diet world, but not for the key phrase diet world that sucks.because this key-phrase has ''4 words''.
does any person know the limits that google takes as keyword?

the other part is, i see that google blackens the keyword diet, and not the whole keyword that i wanted to be index for,why is this?

this is very important.

  • I didn't know one can simply create a squidoo lens and get on page 1 of Google. Maybe you need to build some backlinks to your squidoo page to see it ranking somewhere

As for your url length, I have seen anywhere from 100-1000 characters but shorter the better.

    • You're flipping out because your Squidoo lense wasn't indexed in one day? Wow. What a nightmare.

If that's the worse thing that happens to you today, I would say it was a pretty damn good day.
  • do you know anything about the limitations that google takes as keywords?keywords used in your content
let say google(example) takes 3 words as a keyword phrase.
for example i use the key phrases:
    1) diet sucks
    2) diet world
    3) diet world that sucks
that means the last key phrase will not be taken as one,but the two above.because the last one has 4,it surpasses the limitation which is 3

    • It sounds like you need some general information on SEO and keywords.
Google looks at all of them, when you are doing your research you need to understand the difference between exact match, broad match and phrase match. Here is a thread on the differences Thread. Here is a link to a book on SEO that should get you started I usually give it for an opt in on my site.

Hope this helps you on your way.
      To your success,

  • There is no limitation in keyword phrase! The longer the phrase, the less the number of people searching it and generally the easier it is to rank for. Have you done some keyword research on the search volume of the keyword that you are going after?

Also, you will need to build links as well. That is if you want to rank on the 1st page for your squidoo for your specific keyword. Squidoo's don't just get to the first page automatically.
  • thank you for all your info guys
i have been doing research on keywords and all that
i have even used the principles taught in market samurai,i am also using traffic travis to analyze my website and see how well its doing in its keyword

when i analyzed my lens,it ones on a A+,i used the keyword after each few words,i didnt spam with the keywords.
so i dont know what i am doing wrong.or probably i am spamming with the keywords without knowing.

i know how to do keyword research how to analyze them with these software, but i think i dont know how use them correctly in practice
is like i am good in learning, but placing what i learn in practice is something else
and i think i understand now that you need to place these things in practice to really know what you learned.

    please keep the comments coming

    • You aren't being patient! SEO isn't as simple as throwing up a Squidoo and ranking on the first page for a keyword. If it was, everyone would be rich and SEO services wouldn't exist in the first place.

If your on site optimization is as great as it sounds, then begin building backlinks. Google and the other search engines look at backlinks as a sign of credibility for a website/web page. Get yourself some links and you'll start to watch your page move up and up.

    • If only it were so easy...these things take time and links. Keyword research is also important when figuring out which ones to use. You might have better luck with a longer keyword in the title of your article too.
  • What is your native language? Have you thought of putting up web pages in your native language too? I noticed the "flow" of the language in your posts and I am concerned the pages you put up might not be effective if you are not easy to read.

  • 1. Start with proper keyword research like the guys above just said
    2. If you want to focus on squidoo (and make money out of it) youll need a lot of lenses, make sure your topic is something you can sell to get commissions from. Learn how to make the most of all the stuff squidoo provides you with.

Squidoo has a community by itself, you can use that to connect with people/get your lenses to the top rankings inside squidoo and youll do great OR choose to do seo (but youll need to brush up on your info first for this)

Youll probably get an average of $2 per lens per month if you do things right. Some will do a lot better, some wont get **** Just the way squidoo is.
