i want to knw what is more important for SEO optimization. is it more important to optimize the keywords on the page itself or to buld more link with the target keywords in the anchor text?

  • For rankings, the links are more important.

    You can rank a page with poor on-page SEO with a lot of good backlinks. You can't rank a page with great on-page SEO with no backlinks (unless it is a completely uncompetitive search term, in which case you probably do not want to bother with it anyhow).
  • Off-page SEO is more important than On-page. As Mike said, you can rank poorly optimized page with some good quality backlinks. I have read in SEO courses that it's 20/80. 80% of your ranking depends on Off-page SEO.

    • Actually, both is important and neither on-page not off-page seo should be neglected. On-page seo is pretty simple and takes only a fraction of the time you will be spending on link building - so, why would you neglect it? On-page is still crucial in order to maximize your chances for top rankings. And yes, without any backlinks it's nearly impossible to get high rankings - except maybe for some low-competition long-tail keywords.
    • You can rank a page with a sentance of writing (sometimes less), so off page is vital, but don't ignore on page factors. Just do both
  • To make a reputed image online you have to implement both the methods because from SEO point of view both are really important.
