How much would you charge a client for these keywords

Hi

Quote a client for the following keywords (UK GOOGLE)

Apprenticeships
Microsoft Certification
IT JOBS

Now i quoted, and they said no thanks, and there reply was they can rank number 1 for those postions for next to nothing (Why ask for SEO then lol)

Anyway

Just wondering what would charge ?

    For UK results... mmm they are pretty different ones... and I wonder if they want to rank the home page or a sub page

    it all depends on your client rank, site, competition

    but considering how much $$$ there is in that industry, I would quote around 8K - 10K for a 1 year plan....
