Increasing CTR with adsense

I have around 2k UV per day but only have around a 0.50% CTR and only end up making around $10 a day at the most. What are the best tips for for increasing CTR and pulling in more revenue from adsense?

Also, what is the best way of getting more targeted ads to display on your website, my niche is music related and I always get ads for golf/religion/etc.

  • If it's a wordpress site Use BlueSense or ProSense theme to increase CTR

    • My theme is very specific to my website, swapping themes isn't really an option unfortunately as it will break my sites functionality.
  • Even if you can't swap themes it may help to take a look at their layouts and see where the ad blocks are, they have put a lot of time and testing into them I expect so you can learn from them

    Another good theme to do this with is CTRTheme, they have a few layouts and even though you can't change the theme you may be able to put your ads somewhere similar.
