  • Best way I have found to track this is with channels. You can only set up 200 channels so if you have very many sites or pages, you have to be creative in allotting them to the various channels.
  • You can connect your adsense and google analytics togeather and track adsense in your analytics account.

Or what is probably an easier way is to create custom channels in your adsense account.

      tx
    • I tried to do this multiple times, and never could get it to complete the connection. I finally gave up after I could not get anyone to help me make the connection or find detailed instructions on the web.

  • You use URL Channels to track your domains and then use Custome Channels to test and track different ad positions and formatting.

Google Analystics is by far the best way to track per page performance.

You can find a lot more info in the Adsense forum.

Google Analytics will let you drill down to page level the exact amount the page earns. You can use a single Adsense Ad on every single page of your site, Analytics will still show the earnings per page.

You can also get the AdSense Referrers, the external backlinks that made you the most $$ with Adsense. This gives you a good idea what kind of traffic has a higher CTR.

Looking at my Adsense+Analytics account I can see what the highest earning page for each of my Adsense sites was for an entire year.

Can't beat Adsense+Analytics as far as tracking.

Some folks are paranoid that Big G is watching their every move with their Adsense accounts, so they don't like Analytics. I'm 99.99% sure G knows your every move If you have Adsense code on your site, so might as well use Analytics since it tracks conversions better than the Adsense Admin.
  • One channel per site works for me. You can manage it well and can easily see how much you earned.
