Hi everyone,
I have found Google's SE policies very strange and I would want to know your views about it. I have noticed such abnormalities when I was working on my site's PR. When the site was launched there were many visitors to the site and the trafficking of the site was pretty good but suddenly there has been a drastic downfall. Finally I resorted to some backlinks that helped my site to stand at the fifth position in Google and fiftieth position in BING. I would want to know whether there are any changes in Google's policy so that I can get a better standing in Google.

Some people call it "Google Dance". It means google is deciding your position on SERP's. One day it could be at the top, the other day its gone.

yeah, it's not unusual for a site to be on page on one day and page 50 the next. Sit tight and ride it out.

You mean after Panda update 2.1? I think slight changes always exist, nothing strange, what you need to do is keep updating and building backlinks. Good luck!

Google's last algorithm update i.e the Panda update had caused many businesses to suffer. Many have lost their rankings thus lost sales & money.

Your case is most likely to be the same. Make sure you monitor your competition closely. It is the most important part of search engine optimization and to get hold of your SE rankings.

And for all those "many" that suffered, there was a corresponding "many" that
saw their business increase. Let's not tell half the story.

Google's policy's have not changed. People chose not to read, believe,
or follow them. Only the perceived enforcement has changed.

      Emphasis on perceived.
