Getting hops but no sales

I am promoting an offer from clickbank on my site. I get about 20 click thrus or hops to the offer daily but no sales. The offer I am promoting has a free ebook to subscrible to on the vendors site. Could this be the reason I am not having any sales as anyone who visits the site will just get the free ebook and I am left high and dry. Any advise or explanation if I should continue to promote this offer.

Unless you are convinced that the vendor has a good track record in converting free signups to paid customers and that there is good cookie tracking, I would see if you could drive traffic to another landing page that doesn't have multiple calls to action. Otherwise move on to another product.

How many hops in total have you had?

Subscribe for the free ebook on the vendors site. When you receive the vendors email, he will link to his product (if not on the first email, he will do so in a later email). When he does, check the link to see if it is a direct link or a affiliate link. If he uses an affiliate link, change the product you are promoting.

Generally speaking, you should pick another product if the current doesn't convert.
However, you should have given this product a fair chance to convert, and have
    picked a promising product.

There's too much shenanigans on Clickbank with all vendors it seems offering a 'free ebook' if you sign up. They are then stealing the customer from you and will sell on the 'backend' the product of theirs you are paying out money to advertise for traffic to.

    I say avoid Clickbank!
