Julia, I saw your eariler post in this thead about where to put adsense adsense in the help section has a diagram of the "hot spots" they also say that wide ads tend to be the most succesful and .... many people tend to think the text ads work better than image ads. |

I am on his mailing list. Is the adsense placement on the actual blog or in one of the mailing list emails? I did not see it at the blog or did I miss it? TY Julia! |

It's at the top of the sidebar on the left hand side. Just enter your name and email underneath... don't worry, if you're already part of his list you won't get a duplicate subscription... it detects that you're already there.

Looking at what to make my blog, I am having a real hard time finding low competition. How much does that come into play for anyone here? Finding my theme is a big problem for me. Any help or advice? Thanks Ps nothing new I know, but, I thought I would at least give it a shot at asking |

Hi Steve, Could you just give a quick outline of what you are doing in a typical day at this stage in your blog's development? Thanks in advance. Pearson |

In general you need to look to 'long tail keywords' (keyphrases containing 3 or more words) to find low competition. The blog itself can be part of a high competition niche. Take Steve's blog for example... European Cruises. If you go up one level from that you are looking at travel, holidays or cruises which are all HUGE niches with LOTS of competition. Each article then becomes part of a sub-niche like
So my advice to you is to find a topic that you have a personal interest in (this makes it easier for you to write on the subject) then narrow it down into sub categories and long tail keywords that you can write articles on. | |

Hey all, Just an update on my blog. Things are going well, sales have halted unfortunately. I have now decided to add a lead capture form in my sidebar as well as a little pop up one. I wrote the first 3 emails in my autoresponder series and will add to them daily. I had 4 sign ups over night! My traffic seems to have reached a plateau at the moment so I am starting to submit a few articles a day to ezinearticles to grab some more traffic and backlinks. Started that yesterday so they should be approved sometime tomorrow. I am going to start on a backlink building campaign this weekend. Otherwise things are going well, still waiting for my main keywords to rank nicely (they are still on the 2nd and 3rd page of Google.) Are there any other traffic generating techniques that I could try? I have socialbookmarked most of my important posts. Maybe video, but I am not too sure how to create a video for my niche.... |

A typical day for me at the moment is trying to sort out problems with my server which is hampering me a bit at the moment.. However... When all my technical problems are sorted a typical 1 hour that I try to spend on the site every day will include all or some of the following: 1. Post some more articles (adding images where appropriate) 2. Submit an article to a article directory or other blogs with backlinks to my better performing pages. The idea being to use anchor text that I want google to rank the page for. 3. More social bookmarking. 4. Writing emails to other webmasters looking for link exchanges and 1 way links where possible. 5. writing more content and corresponding with my freelance writer about new articles. 6. Researching other article ideas. That is about it at the moment and is something I am going to have to dedicate a lot more time to over the coming month if I am to stand any chance of winning this challenge. |

The main keywords always take time and energy to get ranked highly for and I guess it is a good thing really. Once you hit those big keywords, you don't want some upstart coming along and upstaging your site with a brand new website with just a few backlinks would you? Google are not silly and they know which keywords are the most valuable generally for webmasters to rank for and they want the best sites to rank for them. The good news though Pete is that if you keep doing what you are doing then you will get those top slots you want, you just have to match and then do better than your competitors which sometimes is not that difficult.

Kevin Riley here at Warrior is about to run a traffic workshop which looks really good for anyone who is interested. I think it is probably geared toward affiliate sites and product sites but I would imagine the techniques can also be used for adsense traffic. I haven't seen the course so I don't know but I always like to see what courses Kevin is running. You should see the link in blue bold at the top of the warrior forum. Kevin is a fantastic tutor and I would urge people to take up this course, I am not an affiliate or anything but I highly respect Kevin and what he teaches. I have no doubt the traffic workshop will be really good. |

Hi Steve. Absolutely excellent thread - it's intelligent, quality information and tuition like this that makes the Warrior Forum the place it is. Good to see someone talk the talk AND walk the walk when there is so much crap and hype online these days. |

The website has 5 sections( car, travel, computer, finance and shopping) and eatch section has over 300 articles in it. My question is , What would be the potenciele income of that 1 website ? I will note the salespage for you, so you can see if this is really a bargain . Hopefully you can answer my question on this subject. Thanks |

LMAO, who's the noob? You obviously don't know what you're doing. I was making over $100 a day within the first week. How? Got a premade Forex Adsense Website, hit the popular forums like FX Daily, Onada forums, etc, and spent about 1-3 hours helping people out with ideas and strategies, i was hitting close to 1,000 visitors a day to my fx site. Steve's approach is good enough for any to follow, he's only been doing this project for the past week or so, still another 2 1/2 months yet, way too early for you to make assumptions on what works and don't work... and before you comment, you need to know what you're talking about first. |

here's the thing. You need to make sure that when you hunt for keywords to go after for your sites that have adsense on them, try to find ones that have fewer campaigns but pay a crap load. Why? cos those keywords with high CPC, don't always mean a high adsense payout. The more clicks the ad gets, the less they are charged, which means the less you get. So, what I tend to do is find keywords that have very few campaigns but have a CPC of $30 or more... these generally pay around $1-5 per click... asbestos is a good niche, forex is another and certain travel industry / holiday sectors pay quite well - or any other kind of professional service, ie, personal injury lawyer (pays around $1.50 - $2.00 a click), or any kind of electrical equipment, that's not sort after by a lot of people, but expensive to buy all the same.

"what's a crap load?" a LOT me write my own articles, on forex yes, marketing, yes, but stuff about lawyers, holiday services, asbestos, medical, etc, nah, wouldn't have a clue about that stuff. I have software that goes out there and hunts for the keywords I enter in a note pad, and my other servers go out and scrap the content out of the sites and completely rewrites it and spits it back out to my blogs while it fetches links and creates the rss feed as well as hitting some article directories and yahoo groups, google groups etc at the same time on the fly... currently it's creating about 30,000 articles a week spreading across 750+ websites I own. software i recommend? Brad Callens article writer and or Andy Blacks article writer pro Or my article blog submitter when it's ready, link in sig |
