Steve, Can you post any income results? I realize that you are only 2/3 the way through the challenge but it would be interesting to see if any income is generated after 60 days. I looked through the last few pages of posts and did not see any figures. Thanks, William |

ok, I'm going to subscribe to this thread. I'm not sure how AdSense will do, as AdSense doesn't seem to be a big money maker anymore, but if you succeed, all the best to you!

Most of my Wordpress blogs I start (on their own domains) make anywhere from $100-$150 within the first month. I'll soon be writing an ebook that explains exactly how I did it, and it will also include a LOT of valuable resources. I'll have a link to it in my sig when it's complete Good Luck! It can definitely be done |

Hello Steve, I just wanted to thank you (and Loz) because I have learned more about AdSense (and IM in general) than most of the eBooks and courses that I have bought. Although I must admit that I haven't played with AdSense until this thread and I have made a whopping $31.63 since I started following this thread. Oh yeah, I had posted a couple of questions about a week ago, thanks for answering them Steve. I am also following you here and on your blog. Fran |

Steve, You mentioned you would be needing 300-400 articles for this challenge. Would all of them be on your site or will some of them be used for article directory submissions? JB |

Steve, Great thread. I am seriously new to the WF and am only few months into IM. When I started in IM, I paid a considerable amount of money to get person to person training. I have to tell you, I actually have learned more about adsense and making money from blogging from reading this thread and following links put in replys to this thread than I have in two months of "coachin". Believe me, if you decide to do 1 on 1 coaching, $1000 is a bargain compared to what I paid. Great stuff buddy. I signed up to your $100 dollars a day blog and will be following this thread closely. Some will be used for article submissions but most will be used on my blog. A lot of people have asked why I don't use the same articles on my blog and publish them at ezine artilces. I am not saying I don't do that but the main reason I don't send all of my articles to the directories is because I want to keep the content on my blog reasonably unique. It is just a personal preference really. |

Saw first page of this thread and after reading all posts of first page I clicked on last page. Just want to see and confirm whether you have achieved or not. Your writing skill is showing that you are very composed and focussed kind of fellow. There is no doubt that you will be able to achieve this. Got few points from you and want to apply that one in my next blog. |

Hey Steve, Are you uploading all your content yourself to your sites, or have you reached the point yet where you hire out the uploading and seo for each article? I've been feeding 5 different blogs/sites with content for the last couple months and man is it a chore to keep feeding those sites everyday! Has anyone found out about a plugin that will drip feed your content (as in take it off your hard drive) AND will AUTOMATICALLY do the SEO for you too? Thanks Steve |

Good luck to you buddy.. building from scratch to $100 / day on adsense is a big ask in todays marketplace especially now most advertisers on the Adwords network opt for the CPM model over the CPC.. plus if you have a blog with enough traffic to get $100 / day in adsense revenue it woul probably make more in other forms of monetisation.

When you say you try and keep trying, what exactly are you trying? You need to look at what you are doing and work out exactly where it is going wrong. Is your site getting indexed and ranked? Is your content not up to the job? Are your promotions letting you down? I know that sounds very simplistic and I apologise for that but sometimes the answer is glaring you in the face.. |

but I doubt it will do the SEO work for you. But just in case, I am just now sending that question to the developer to see if maybe it will. Steve

this is a tough one 4 me...... from an adsense view, it is best to have a left sidebar, considering the test results from various "heatmap studies" across the web from an SEO point of view, it is better to have your content load as soon as possible, which means a right hand sidebar..... now...... is it better to sacrifice some click percentage for more traffic, or is it better to sacrifice some traffic for more clicks ? and how much weight does google attach to not immediately seeing the content ? puzzled...... thanx pj |

Hi Steven, I’d like to ask a few brief but related questions to do with keywords and articles. Let’s assume that two of the keywords you are targeting are ‘European river cruise,” and, “Planning a European cruise.” Now they are just terms I’ve made up I don’t know whether or not you use them or even if they’d be appropriate key words. When you contact your freelance writer what instructions do you actually give them. Do you tell them you want a 600 word article with a keyword rich term like ‘European river cruise,’ or do you give them a title for an article e.g. ‘A European river cruise for all the family,’ or ‘Planning a European cruise for your 50th Wedding anniversary. And you edit it and make it keyword rich after you get it back. What are your general instructions to the author? This might sound a very simple question but I had a quick look at Elance, a few moments ago, entered the term "european cruises" and of the five people offering to do work not one of them gave a price per article. So how do we decide what is the rate for the job? Equally what is the minimum amount of work these people will accept 10, 20, 30 articles. And one final question. You send articles to article banks – but do you ever use articles from article banks? I appreciate you can only give a very brief answer but I would invite your readers who use article writers to share their thoughts. Kevin |

I have worked with elance numerous times, it is really a process to find a quality writer.. you must give a detailed description of what the"job" will be, say, 30 articles 500 words each. explain in the project description what you need accomplished, ie keywords use etc. you will get back many offers, their writing fee should be part of what they can do for you. look at their profiles, and feed back and writing samples, and start a dialogue with a writer you feel will meets your needs, on quality of writing and price. there is a private message board for you to see if it is a good fit. Some of the wriers have a great understanding of use of keywords. hope that was helpful. Everyone has a different way to approach finding a freelancer.... |

I used to like niche inspector, but I was really disappointed in the creator just taking all our money and shut down. I bought Micro Niche Finder in stead and I am now using that to find niches.

I wouldn't get to hung up on the technicalities of how quick your content loads. Yes, it is measured by google but so long as it loads within an acceptable time frame you shouldn't worry about it. Test your adsense placements and you will find the answers you need..

I give my author a title and any keywords I want included in the article plus a small brief as to what I want the article to be about. If I need to make changes to the article I will either do it myself or send it back to the author with a description of any amendments. I don't personally use elance so I can't answer that but whenever you are setting up a project it is imperative that you see some examples of their work and make it very clear of what your expectations are. I generally pay between $5 to $10 per 500(ish) word article. I do use articles from article directories but only if they add something new and interesting to my site. I wrote quite a lot about this on my 100 bucks challenge blog.

Yes, it is a big shame about niche inspector as it was a great product for a while there and I am not sure what happened to Myleena and the support for it. Do you mean you have 63 pages indexed but are only getting 5 visitors a day? If so, how far down the rankings are you for your main keywords? Check your stats to see what keywords are being used to find your site, are they longtails of your target keywords? Is your niche an ultra competitive one and how much backlink promotion have you done using your target keywords and variations for anchor text? |

Just stick with googles free keyword tool, micro niche finder is a great luxury but only buy it when you are making money from your sites. |
