Dear Steve, Thank you for this amazing thread. I want to ask your opinion about some seo tools. I heard that bookmarking Demon & SEnuke are blackhat tools. it is simply because they spam the directory and other social sites. Is that right? So, how about the UAW? UAW also submit articles to a lot of different directoy? Thanks a lot. -Pixel- |

Steve, thank you very much. It doesn't matter to me whether or not you made the $100.00/day in three months. You showed me that is possible, with a little know-how and work, I can make even $20.00 a day. I am just starting this adventure. I have been looking into Affiliate marketing and this AdSense stuff. You made me realize that there so many ways of approaching this that were 'outside my box.' I have been a Software Engineer for over 20 years, so I have a little advantage when it comes to technology, I just need the 'creative' thinking part.. This thread of yours has given me a perspective on this that I had not gotten anywhere else. Again, a million thanks. Mark |

UAW is not black hat, it's an article distribution service like many others. The whole purpose of article marketing is to get your article distributed and syndicated. Gunter

Tools are never blackhat.. It is the people who use them that determine what hat they wear.

Hey Steve, I noticed on your blog that you have articles from articledashboard.com. I had a read through that site and it seems you can use their articles on your site as long as you copy and paste 100% of the article, leaving all resource links, etc. as they are. Obviously this could be classed as duplicate content but you have used them nevertheless. Can I ask your opinion on this please? Do you think it's ok to use articles from sites like articledashboard.com, articlesnatch.com and articlebase.com? Thanks -DF |

Yes, certainly is.. So long as you use them properly and mixed up with mainly unique content. One of my best performing posts on that blog is an article from article dashboard there is some detail about it earlier in this thread.

Another live step by step adsense challenge: Eric Giguere (the author of Uncommon AdSense and Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program) has just started a live Adsense case study on his blog at: Building a Whitehat Virtual Real Estate Empire To quote from his newsletter: "I have started a new series on my blog about building your own virtual real estate (VRE) empire, i.e. creating a network of AdSense sites, using only legitimate "white hat" techniques. It's a live case study and I may fall flat on my face with it, but either way I think you'll find it interesting. " |

Steve it took me about a week to read all 32 pages. LOL. (Slow reader I guess).Great ... Great JOB. You are the living proof that to make money online is not hard. The key is to follow a strategy and to DO it. An idea that you put in practice is probably more important then all the unused knowledge in the world as you have mentioned it too. I have few questions. 1.At this point if you stop promoting the site and stop posting articles will your revenue decrease or remain stagnant? 2. Since you've been through it and know all the ins and outs is it possible to make a profit if you outsource all the work that you have done? Thank a lot! |

I have domains that haven't had an update since 2007 except for an occasional legitimate comment on a blog post. They're all consistent earners and some have even increased significantly in earnings over time.

Pages are great, and definitely have their place for certain material, but, If you plan on using RSS, pages won't show up in your feed.

1. There is a good chance of it remaining stagnant but also by leaving the blog to gather cobwebs, it will eventually get overtaken by other sites that are more hungry for ranking for the same keywords. This is why I say it is important to maintain your sites. 2. Absolutely, so long as who you outsource to can be trusted and do a good job and work within the guidelines you give. You should still keep an eye on what they do.. You are the big boss making sure your virtual real estate is being managed properly.

Age of the domain and links to the domain are also a heavy factor. If you have a site from 1999 that has a lot of old links and is still getting new ones occasionally it will be harder for a brand new competitor to beat, even if your content is rather static.

The basic philosophy of what I'm doing is explained here: Create Your Own Network of AdSense Sites. Takes work, though, which is what some people are trying hard to avoid... You can certainly automate and outsource parts of it, though, especially over time as your network grows.

Any duplicate content from another page is harder to "rank" in the search engines from the original. Basically if you copy anything from my blog and paste it into yours, you'll be at a disadvantage to ranking that article to the original from the start.

I think the whole point is that for a blog to be successful it has to be of some use to someone and hope that Google feels the same. If you can create a great blog using content that is not original but provides a very useful resource for people then it can be successful. However, by far and away the best approach is to create a unique blog on mainly original content and mix it up with some unoriginal content if it adds value. |

i have many examples where this is not the case. It is more about context of where the article is rather than where it appeared first that determines ranking position in my experience. |

Just so I understand this... We have an experienced IMer (he sells a $37 ebook on adsense) who say he can start a blog and get it to $100/day in 90 days? But, he fails to do so and he's still a hero? Do I understand this correctly? Why would anyone buy form an expert who can't produce even one fifth of what he promises? (And we don't even know that for certain.) Based on the sycophantic responses, I'm guessing the "Cash Cow sales are pretty good. "I am not a crook!" ~ Richard Nixon |

another take might be, here's a guy with a lot of current knowledge and skills, willing to stick his head out of the bunker in an area littered with land mines and document the journey so that everyone could share the ride and learn from the experience, win loose or draw. Oh! and do it live and raw with great honesty - that gets my respect. Judging by your response you skimmed this rather than invest any serious time in learning anything from it.

1. I am not forcing people to buy anything, it was a challenge in the public eye. I shared the results with you and everyone. 2. If you want to buy from an "expert" who promises you the world in one of those long winded sales pages with no substance.. Go ahead! 3. I am not a hero, I never said I was and never will.. (unless I do something truly heroic, like save a cat who is stuck in a tree.) 4. I will get the blog up to $100, I failed to do it in 3 months but I will eventually do it. If I was to be dishonest like you insinuated, I would have said I succeeded in getting there within 3 months! 5. The cash cow sales were pretty good before the challenge and are pretty good now as well and thankfully so is the feedback I get from 95% of my customers.

Say I create two blogs. One on chocolate cake and one on chocolate candy. If I write an original article and publish it on both blogs, how will Google view them? It seems like Google would know that I own both sites, but I wonder if it would still consider the content unique, or a reprint? Also, does anyone know how Google might view links between the two blogs? High quality? Low? |

The trick is, which of the duplicate pages will get shown? Generally the site that has more authority and more links will get shown. As for the links between the two blogs... they shouldn't cause a problem. Both blogs are about "chocolate", after all. I've discussed this before in How To Link Multiple Sites. Just avoid completely off-topic links.

A guy basically exposes his soul here by doing something that has helped so many new IMer's and all you can do is try to trash him? Why? What ax do you have to grind with Steve? Instead of slamming the guy...how about starting your own thread showing everyone how you go about making $100/day?
