Hi Warriors,

I just want to share with you what I think are the biggest factors Google uses to rank web pages.

1.
Age of Domain:
Old domains have more trust as compared to new domains
2. Content:
You must have good quality, unique and fresh content
3. Relevancy of your page to the target keyword
Make sure that your site is optimized for your target keyword. This means include keyword in the title, ulr , alt tags , meta tags , etc
4. Quality of your links
Make sure that you have more high quality links from authority sites in your niche and authority sites like DMOZ
5. Relevancy of your links:
Make sure that most of the links to your pages are from sites which are related to your industry
6. CTR and Bounce Rate of the Page
Try to make very compelling title. Make also sure that you have quality content so that your visitors would stay more on your site.
7. Internal link structure
Make sure to interlink your pages
What is your idea on this?

Do you agree or do you have different list?

Let me hear what you think.

Thanks,
Mike

When you say age of domain you mean how long you've owned it and its been published right? As I thought (think) that as soon as it goes dormant or expired then google resets?

Bounce rate is a poor judge of quality because if you give your visitors exactly what they want and need right away you will get a high bounce rate (they leave having gotten what they are searching for) despite having incredible high quality content.

This might be true for a squeeze page but if you're site visitors are bouncing straight away, you've got a problem.

        from Google's own docs:
"Bounce rate is a measure of visit quality and a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance (landing) pages aren't relevant to your visitors."

          You are right .

Bounce rate is directly related to the quality of your content . If your web pages content is of high value to your visitors , your visitors would stay more on your site and your pages would be rewarded by Google .

Also keep in mind that different analytic tools will calculate bounce rate differently. Google Analytics calculates it based on unique visitors and exits, as opposed to some time frame of, say, leaving the site after 5 seconds.

To decrease bounce rate create a video and place it on the page.

That is really a good point .

The only thing that you need to be aware is to make sure that the video should not deteriorate the conversion rate of your page .

The most majority of videos don't convert well. But , if you do it the right way , they are highly effective .
