Hi, I don't quite understand how I can be on the top 10 for a keyword on a search from another country. Example: Online income streams, I get listed on the front page of google when searched from a different country, when I put that same search on google here in the U.S., I can't even find my site within the first 10 pages....Can anyone tell maybe what can be happening? My site is a blog.

Hi lynks7,

It's called Geo-targeted search results and/or personalized search results.

Google has been using behavior metrics to deliver search results custom tailored to each user's previous search behavior and Geo-targeted location.

They appear to be phasing in these new features and they are having an ever increasing impact on each user's search results. By this time next year you may not be able get consistent results between any two computer user accounts.

Determining a site's SERP may soon become an impossible task.

Hi Lynks.

As Don said it is geo targetting based on your location.

I use a tool called Google Global for Firefox to help determine rankings in different countries.
