Hi, I want to conduct some research about SEO.

I'm not going to display exactly what I'm researching or trying to find out because i dont want to skew the results..

But I will repost the results and tell you what I've learned..

So heres the question...

If you were brand new to internet marketing, and i told you that you need to make $2,000 within 30 days using only 5 SEO tactics. which 5 techniques would you use? And Why?

Thanks Guys and Gals

How would someone brand new to internet marketing know any SEO tactics? Besides, there are thousands of other ways, most of which are easier and far more effective.

    1. links
    2. links
    3. links
    4. links
    5. links
(of course those come from external content but whatevs)

Just last month I got a site to #1 for a big launch, got over $200 per sale and it was ranking on an untouched WP install with zero anything but defaults. Put up a bunch of content and then switched to a pre-sell page on launch of course, but prior to that it was 100% inbound links and only external content pointing in.

Still at #1 spot and making sales too.

If I were new to internet marketing, and had only 30 days to make $2,000, I most certainly wouldn't be using any SEO techniques at all, and I'd strongly advise anyone in those circumstances to ignore SEO completely: it clearly and obviously isn't a way for the average complete newbie to make $2,000 in their first month.

And thank you but the question asked what SEO tactics you WOULD use not what you WOULDN'T...

also, i know this isn't a way for a complete newbie to make 2 grand in 30 days.. but i also know that nowhere in my op did i ever say it was. i said i was doing research for reason unknown to you. so assuming things really isn't helping this thread.

      but again thank you!

        Rich,

You presented a scenario, and Alexa tried to help you. I don't know your experience in IM, but Alexa has a lot of experience. Maybe her answer didn't help you, but there was no reason to give her the backhand as you did.

Often newbies will pose obscure questions that have no basis in fact or can't be answered, due to their lack of knowledge. Your question might not have been one of these, but it was close.

Other than an odd set of circumstances, such as a new offering that you could get top rankings easier, could SEO ever get a newbie $2,000 in their first month. Unless they were just damn lucky.

definitely not a noob.. and no her answer did not help my post therefore i responded accordingly.

theres nothing noobish about market research.

if you ran a business that taught people how to excel in your field of business it would be beneficial to your clients to get real live data showing what the major players in that field are doing.

on a side token... a question like mines also allows me to see what the average person is thinking. my question is targeted and based on the answers i already see great potential to a new report.

my form of market research might not be the same as yours.. and my income might not be as high as yours. but im living pretty comfortable.. and it is all from IM.

There is nothing 'noobish' or wrong in being courteous either. Your response was a slap in the face to someone who was trying to help. Just because she didn't help, doesn't mean you have to be rude to her.

I know what you mean, and it is thus...

If I were brand new to internet marketing, and i told you that I need to make $2,000 within 30 days using only 5 SEO tactics, which 5 techniques would you use for me?

    =

You also said "And why?" but I would assume that the answer is "Because I think it's the best 5!"

P.S. I would think 2 grand in 30 days is unrealistic.

First seo is long term, not short term.

Second, a newbie would have better luck starting out with niche forum traffic, which is easier than seo (no learning curve).

Market research, keyword research, write seo and user friendly content, keyword optimizing (like keyword in domain and title) and lastly backlinking. Use these five techniques and you will make money with seo.

links links and more links. but you can never depend on one method for SEO so.........they better learn to mix a ton of other strategies!
