Backlinking for New Website Explained

I know that many people that are just begining in internet marketing are wondering what kind of backlinks they should create and how fast if SEO is one of their traffic strategies.

I own a few affiliate websites, and I have never got Google Slapped or sandboxed.

I have found that links velocity(creating backlinks regularly and a similar number of backlinks as well). For example if you create a 6 page website, firstly ensure that each post has at least 300 words. Do all the on-page SEO and then the most critical part is that you should be linking to all your internal pages, and not just to the home page. This is because it will not look natural to search engines such as Google.

I would say you should make your first on your website the first day you purchase the domain, and then add the rest of your content gradually leaving a space of 1-2 days in between.

All your posts should have backlinks! Now after you have your posts in place, you can start backlinking. What I would advise is having a great mixture of very good, high PR backlinks and a few "bad" backlinks. What I mean by that is have links from blog commenting and web 2.0 sites for example a a few less from article directories when your website is new.

What seems to work well is creating forum profiles and then offering QUALITY information on threads. Make sure you add a picture, add biography and hobbies as this will make it less likely that the forum admin will delete your account. You must make sure that you have a forum signature which is your anchored text that links back to your posts. Add a maximum of 3 links per signature, so you don't get banned form that forum.

In my experience, article directory sumbission for backlinking purposes is a "risky" strategy when you have a new website. This is because some people still don't understand that content uniqueness is important. People tend to copy the whole article that you have posted it and then place it on their website. This gives you less link juice and in some cases, it can harm your rankings.

I have to say that this does not mean that article directories submission is not good. This is not what I am trying to say! But I prefer to use it more heavily when the domain is a bit older. However, I like to create 1 article on Ezines where I place my anchor text, and then send a lot of backlinks pointing to that. This will send the juice to your main site, but it will not hurt your rankings.

I hope this helps!
