    No you won't necessarily.

However, if your ads are in such as way that they result in invalid or accidental clicks then you will banned.

And if you're not banned eventually, you will be smart priced as the advertisers aren't getting returns from the traffic you send them.

Many people who earn much from Adsense have very high CTR. So do not worry.

When dealing with high CTR always check the terms and conditions of google twice.

You won't be banned just because of high CTR. If you are doing anything shady to get high CTR ... well that is completely different story then (:

google does not care what your CTR is.
They want real visitors, doing real clicks, ready to take action.

The would, however, love it if you had 100% CTR.

I have a site that gets less than 10 clicks daily, and dang near a perfect
        CTR.

It's a different story when someone tried to get you down.

      30% CTR?

Damn I'm jealous, I'm lucky to break 1% CTR but still making around $5/day on average.

If I could even get 5% CTR I'd be happy

        Hahaha!! Average 8% CTR!!!

Anyone knows why template and ad placement greatly effect the CTR??

Have you ever considered that maybe a certain advertiser's ad is very good and is perfectly targeting your visitors and therefore they click on the ad? You should thank them, that's what Google does.

What is high anyway? For some, 1% is high, for others 5% would be.

Humans look at a page in a certain way. Eyes tend to look and "see" things in certain places. Ever seen someone looking for keys when they're right there in front of them? Same for web pages so where the ads are located will determine if they see them.

Pictures and how your text flows around them, the width of your text box, fonts, color schemes and a bunch of other things will have an effect too.

I would think that written languages that read right to left would need to be a mirror image. Different placement would like be needed for those that read top to bottom I imagine.

But bottom line, people don't click on ads just because they are there. They must appeal to the reader to something they want at that moment. So if you have unrelated or related but crappy ads showing, your CTR will suffer.
