I know content distribution is critical in SEO. I have a Blogger that I keep updating but how do I get traffic to it?

Side question: The blogger is separate from the main website. It links to the main website but does anyone know how to integrate the blog posts from Blogger onto the main website?

Submit the same content to Top directories:

    Ezines
    Article Alleys
Sooper Articles... to name a few.

Checkout TargetHut for the list of better directories.

Setup a twitter and fanpage if you haven't already.

    Hope this helps,
    Haruka

Aren't you penalized for creating duplicate content on both your blog and the article directory you submit to?

Do link building. If you know how to build links, then it will not be a big problem for you. You can also use social bookmarking and social networking site.

With the blog posts build backlinks for keywords relating to the post or the site just like the big sites do.

so if you are a movie site and have a review of a new film backlink the actual post for the film name.

For example on my blog i am front page of google for hostgator review and hostgator reviews and this brings in regular traffic through to my blog and I must have another 100 blog posts that do the same.

for the blog post.. it's better for you to wait until google cache your page before submitting it to social bookmarkings and networkings.
while for the main blog site.. i suggest do a link building campaign specially blog submission sites.

    Off page SEO !!!!

Backlinks will bring you traffic. They're like votes for your sites, and the higher quality backlinks you get the higher you'll rise in the SERPs.

Make sure your getting a good all-round link portfolio with links coming from lots of different sources, and keep building! I find that building backlinks to your backlinks is REALLY effective at the moment, so make sure you're doing this if you want results fast.

Make sure you are doing some keyword optimization before every post you create.

Focus on one or two keywords and run the post through an onpage SEO analyzer to check it.

Test how successful you are for each keyword and what competition level you are able to obtain good results with (without sacraficing too much traffic)

With your blog posts optimized, you will need to do some link building (or use an SEO service) to do your offpage SEO.

The aim with this is to rank each individual blog post you make on the first page of Google for related keywords.

Your traffic potential can exponentially rise as you continue posting.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Social Network, Article Marketing, Bookmarking, etc...always work for me.

As long as you do it right for each page, you'll rank higher than your competitors.
