Hey Warriors...

I am sure, you must have heard of Google Panda algorithm by now. Apparently, it has already affected Ezine Articles' and Associated Content traffic in just under a month. Wonder what impact this is going to have on the article marketers, the SEO gurus who leverage low-quality articles to get their websites ranked. It can even impact the whole SEO industry because Google is really really after getting only 'top-notch' content on top..

What's your views? How do you think this will affect the content writing, article marketing industry.? Need your suggestions on dealing with this situation that can probably have an impact on the whole SEO industry..

Besides there being a ton of similar threads, if your content is good, you won't be affected by it.

Do your on-page SEO right, get good, compeling articles and the update will not harm you.

If you believe that Google can meet their goals, it's time to improve your abilities to write original works. (oh dread)

    some input from searchengineland:
"Effective Article Marketing Is NOT About Submitting To Article Submissions Sites!
Let's dispel a misconception right now. Submitting articles to article submission sites, especially low quality articles written primarily for search results, does little for you.

We examined the results of the work done for one of our clients, for example, by their prior SEO who was writing low quality articles and submitting them to article submission sites like ehow.com with links to their site. These articles where doing almost nothing for them (and this was prior to Panda). Checking their analytics, we saw that no traffic ever came from these article submission sites, ever! It's very unlikely that these articles helped their search engine rankings at all.

Most article submission sites do not pass much, if any "link juice" (or PageRank or whatever you want to call it) to the sites the articles link to. We found none of these articles in any of the tools we use to identify strong links, those that may be helping improve search positions. Finally, none of the articles were ever picked up and run by any other site (no surprise as they're not very good or useful articles).

Having your Web marketing company produce low quality articles is of little value to anybody (other than the marketing company that gets paid to write the articles)."

If you are a guru then you must change with each change in the system. We would be fools to think it will stay the same. It is just part of the game.

It only affects you if you can't adapt. Thankfully I pushed my company to allow me to create our own blog network that we use to build backlinks from original, high quality content.

Thus I am creating a powerful network that one day every site will have good page rank, meaning anytime we want powerful links we simply have to write an article.

Most said I was crazy, but these advanced-pumper blogs gained PR (nothing over a 2) last month--while other's actual money sites sank like a rock.

I welcomed the Panda update because it made ranking our eCommerce store that much easier. I don't care how many Xrummer links you toss at your copied content, we'll still rank above you with better content and quality-content-controlled link sources.

I love how the whole SEO world freaks out whenever there is a large algo update. People proclaiming that its the end of SEO, and that the world is coming crashing down around us.

This is PART of the SEO game, people adapt and strategies change. There will always be some form of SEO, whether or not it stays the same is another story altogether. No its not the end of the world, the goal is to establish what works and what isn't through testing.

My general rule of thumb is think as a search engine would. What does the search engine want to see? What sort of sitewide index changes will the search engines utilize to help filter their results? If you start thinking like a search engine, you can start taking necessary precautions to assure rankings.

If you were depending upon the links and traffic from the article directory in the first place, then chances are you were not doing that well pre-panda. The article directories are only a gateway to bigger and better returns.

With 19 active sites only one was hit by panda (but was back after 2 weeks). I use unique content on my sites and for backlinking purposes. Also, when you build backlinks, you have to put backlinks on as many different types of sites. Don't use just blog comments to get backlinks, add some links from forums, bookmarking sites, web 2.0 sites,...

Doing seo this way wont effect your sites when google throw next update in your face.

Can you please tell me what exactly you did to get your site back? Because mine is still dancing on pages 75-77, and I have a pretty decent web site, no dupe content, original and unique, about 20 pages + about me, contact, tos, privacy policy etc. Also I am diversifying link building as much as I can, but the site just won't move.

I noticed that too, super picky. I was playing around re-editing one particular article trying to get it approved for 2 weeks. It finally got approved and they gave me a promotion to boot

Panda affected certain strategies, and rightly so imo. Anyone that was using articles from directories and plr verbatim were hit pretty hard. Sites with quality, original content were mostly unaffected (from my experience) and in some cases benefited from the algorithm upgrade. Google will always be adjusting its algorithm to penalize sites that cut corners, planning your sites for long-term life is the only way to guarantee a steady income.
