Does anyone know whhat this does and how much it costs to maintain? I am totally new to AWS, and I purchased two amazon stores from another member and had to sign up for AWS, so I apologize for the ignorance

Hi, AWS, at least the Product API used by shopping scripts is free of charge.

By the way, those scripts used stand-alone are pretty ineffective these days, Google will just ignore your site unless you have a LOT of unique content etc.

Yes, Products API is free but you can mix some of your own contents to make your site and products SEO friendly.
