Yes, I do agree with you, but Most of the SB sites are nofollow and even they are dofollow, I don't think with PANDA, these are going to work, I am sure we have to find-out different strategy to beat that PANDA

For me social bookmarking gives me good quality backlinks.

I often experiment and found that when I didn't use social bookmarking it took much longer for a page to go up the rankings on Google.

I bookmark my images too and often find without doing any other seo that these images will be top of the results.

Don't stop using social bookmarking if you are considering it as you will regret it later.

  I feel even many bookmarking sites are no-follow they still hold weight-age in terms of backlinks, keyword boosting. I know many of warriors might not agree with me but i prefer to have have bookmarked in 50-70 sites from one URL.
  
  i select websites based on alexa, PR and Site Ages....I do find Some Good Result in SERPs even after Panda Update....

Social Bookmarking is a big pale of traffic if you done it correctly.. plus don't just submit.. think also if your title is catchy and your description is good enough for the audience to gain their interest for your website. also dont waste your time submitting to those SB's on the List.. just choose the top 10-15 sb.

From what I learned from other warriors, social bookmarks is effective in indexing you new site or new page but in contributing to page rank I think it's effect is only minimal.

After the Panda update and some releases that followed, Social Bookmarking will not be really beneficial to your site. Quality is now preferred over quantity and that is what Panda is looking into at the moment. To make sure that your site does not get punished by the update just submit to high PR sites so that your site maintains the authority

Social Bookmarking is good but that was before Panda and now after Panda it just seems that all the links that come from Social Bookmarking sites are just not quite working. Apart from the fact that you will get links from Social Bookmarking sites there is no real benefit that you can capitalize on.
But it doesn't hurt to have your site's word is spread around the web

If done on a wide scale social media backlinking/bookmarking can have some great benefits to ranking and I just recently saw this when I created a glossary and linked it through social media. The very same day the pages were ranking for decent keywords. Every glossary term was a post on a wordpress site and each term's page got bookmarked.

To me Social Bookmarking is not about being useful but it is about being necessary for your ranking. If you think about it people are more than any other time in Social Bookmarking and Social Media Websites so if you have lots of backlinks from other sources (let's say article marketing for example) and no social bookmarking backlinks then it is obvious that it is not organic. Bottom-line: You should have backlinks from where people are.

Other benefits:
- You need to have a combination of do-follow and no-follow backlinks. Social Bookmaring makes it easy.
- You need to have a range of anchor texts. Social bookmarking makes that easy as well.

Social bookmarking backlinks are normally the backlinks that are not visible in yahoo site explorer and other backlink checkers. The only way to check them is in Google Webmasters' tools by Webmaster. So, if you are looking for missing links of why your competitors outrank you, then one of them is Social Bookmarking.

Social bookmarking is working for several vital role. Its good for Traffic and it could give you good backlinks. I got an amazing results to indexed my site earlier. Its really helpful as of now, though the Panda 2.2 doesn't calculate.

Social Bookmarking will never die, to be honest. Yeah it doesn't work wonders like it used to back in early 2010 but its still makes a good part of your SEO campaigns.

Social sites are crawled literally every minute by Google, so if you have some social bookmarks, you're likely to get indexed faster than normal.
