My website dropped from 623 visitors a day to zero in two days

My website has been no. 3 on Google's first page for a couple of months. It made me around 2-3 dollars a day from adsense, until one day it dropped, and I can't find it on SERP. It is an EMD and did well from the start back in March. It is an autoblog, with a few unique articles.
This is really frustrating, and I don't know how to fix this, any ideas?

I suppose your site has been penlized by Google as when you query site:refrigeratorbrands(dot)org it is not showing any result. Check your back links if there is any link from FFA or any other spam technique used.

This is likely the reason then. Google would be expecting a good site to get backlinks so when it sees you have none, then it might drop you in the listing. Of course, that is just one possible thing it could be.

The other thing is that you might want to add more unique content. I don't "think" the reason is that it is an autoblog because I have several probably similar to yours that are mostly autoblog with some unique content and those are still doing very well.

I know, lots of people are going to come in here and tell you that it's because your blog is an autoblog (ask them how many they have and how extensivley they have tested it and you will be able to gauge how much weight to put on their answer) and it is true that a best practice would be to have all unique content, but before you just dump the site you might want to try some backlinking.

After Google's recent update (Panda), Auto blogs are "history" and only a few of them are still earning some bucks from adsense. a majority of them were either penalized or been dropped from SERP's. Original Content is in demand again and things will hopefully be like this in the coming days too.

I would suggest checking your site in the "Penalized" sites list and if you are going to find it there then you would better drop your current domain and start working on a fresh one.

Are you sure that your blog is not banned from Google? Have you used site:yourdomainname to check whether it is still indexed?

All Autoblog are being -950 penalty from Google and hardly able to recover.

You should as well aware autoblogging might have your adsense account ban too.

    Better remove it fast.

    Edit:

Also OP, I remember I'd order a autoblogging service from here and immediately change all contents once I've know autoblogging is violate the adsense ToS, as autoblogging are low quality content and it is stealing other sites contents.

Therefore I've update my sites with new contents which I now had a value of PR 1 from the recent PR updates.

It is really difficult to predict what Google will do about our sites. That's why I stopped creating low quality sites with a few pages of poor content. Now I focus on fewer bigger sites that will hopefully be authority in their niches and I only add content that is written in a personal tone. Not some $3 rewritten articles from a guy with poor grammar. Also, I am not building backlinks to my sites myself anymore. I believe if I keep compiling high quality content, people will find my site and share it, link to it etc. just as Matt Cutts from Google says. I should have listened to him two years ago.

That's the Google Panda update. Make sure you are posting unique content on a regular basis and stop low quality link building and your site should recover in a couple of months.

I've had some sites do that and they sometimes come right back. I don't do auto-content and never have, though. One of my sites was on page 1, spot 4ish and it just popped off. lol, it's the .org of it's phrase and it's actually a low competition phrase. It's strange sometimes how it happens.

  • Nevada while cheaper than California is also doing their own money grabs with more to follow. A Nevada Corporation will require an annual shareholders fee of $125 and a Business License fee of $200. You also pay modified business tax - a purly made up money grab.

If you are looking to set up an LLC the place to do it for now is Wyoming. No State Income tax, $50 a year filing fee. You do not need a business license. But you will need a $125 a year to cover the registered agent. You'll also need to pay the fees to get set up - depending on if you do it online yourself or pay an attorney.

Wyoming is now the most business friendly state.

    Sharondrn,

Personally, I would do this... in this order.

    1. Take Adsense off of the site
    2. Remove all of the "auto" content from the site, leaving only the original stuff
    3. Write some original content and post it (about 5 to 10 additional articles should do for now)
    4. Start building backlinks to the site... SLOWLY. Start by bookmarking. Ramp up to some easy article posting (EZA, GoArticles, etc), then a couple of Web 2.0 blog backlinks.

If the site was making you $50 to 100 per month, I think it's worth at least this small amount of effort to recover it.

Do this for about a month, creating a few backlinks every week and your site should show back up. If it gets back to the first page, put your Adsense back on.

If it doesn't show up in that period of time, cut your loses and move on.

    I'm currently taking MASSIVE action...

If your site was a MFA(made for adsense) website than it is possible that google just didnt like you anymore... but people who make money with adsense are ok with that because the way to make any real money with adsense you have to have A LOT of those little niche websites... to the point where if a couple websites drop a month you know that you still have hundreds more and growing.

    Tacky... and displaying great ignorance.

OP.. you're site is not indexed anymore, so it's gone. Drop the domain. Autoblogs can be quality though.. many are and Google doesn't care about an "autoblog". They just don't want spammy sites. I started my autoblogs last year (late summer/early fall) and I just made over $3000 last month. You just have to do them the "right way". Search the forums. Lots of threads on this.

    Best of luck.

Just another post by someone passing their opinions off as fact…so sad.

Obviously you don’t know that there are several sources to get content from that allow syndication. Not all autoblogs are using stolen content but I would imagine you find that difficult to believe. In fact I would venture to say that those autobloggers who do use stolen content are disappearing quickly so comments like yours really aren’t called for and certainly show a lack of knowledge about the subject!

I agree...very tacky and certainly lacks actual knowledge on the subject.

The sad thing though is that those who don't know better (newbies) will actually believe people when they say things like that.
