AdSense CTR went down?!

Hello Warriors,

I have a few websites which was doing well with AdSense.

My average daily earnings were $15-$40. I had an average 14% CTR for long time.

A few days ago, my CTR started to drop, and its 3% now. What do you think what should I do?

I use clickbump theme, but I don't think people aren't click on my ads, I think there is something problem with my AdSense account.

I found a few threads in other forums where people had the same problem and their CTR are dropped suddenly, but I didn't find answer.


Please help!

  • Many things could of happened, I would wait a couple weeks before I worried but my first thought is one of the appealing advertisers could have dropped their campaign and maybe the other ads are not as related.

    • Maybe, but its happened with all of my sites. I don't think that all of "my advertisers" dropped their campaigns. I have no idea what happened with my sites.

  • wait it out a little longer before you start panicking...after about a week or so, if it continues, contact Google Support
  • have your pages dropped in rankings?
  • are your page impressions the same?
  • Just wait for couple of days and watch what happen. I think it is not a great problem. It will be OK.

  • I'm always amazed to read others that claim a 14-15% CTR. I've experimented with about 10 different formats and tried 20 different ad placements/ad types and outside of the occasional outlier days, I never stray from 2-3% CTR for the month. Damn... if I was getting 14% CTR, I'd be making over 15 grand a month with AdSense.
  • Sh*t! Today my CTR is 30% but my CPC went down to €0,11 from €0,77... I can't believe... Oo
