Hi all,

I want to promote a 6 month old website (1500 pages indexed). I have a $1000 budget to spend on SEO marketing. What are the best SEO services I could use?

Thanks,

Depends what end result your trying to acheive? For example there's a WSO in the WSO forum where you can buy google front page exposure for 1 keyword...

I should also point out your question should be in the SEO section of the WF : (

    Hi Ilse...
start by seeing where those pages sit...
    are they on page 1?

Find the ones with the most promise and figure out a backlink strategy - ie get some articles written/social links etc.

    Good luck.

Don't understand that advice either. This forum isn't going to rank your site. Even if you optimize the pages yourself you are still going to have to build quality backlinks to it.

Anyway if I were you I would spend most of that cash on getting links to my site. line up some good writers for guest blogging and article marketing and frankly buy some high PR backlinks. Concentrate on quality and skip a whole lot of xrummer seonukeX profile blast services. If you want to do that you could but the software yourself and do it.

How many keywords? Which pages? I hope you don't want to point it all one page.

I use these services to rank for some very tough keywords

First do a press release if its it new site:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-all-work.html

Great discount, and you get links from Authority sites like about.com and several newspapers. Nice way to start off.

    Then do some Article Submissions:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...-try-free.html
This guy runs a great service, I was previously paying twice as much for lower quality work and submissions.

    Then there's BuildMyRank.com
I outsource article writing for this service. It works really well. Unlinke the other blog networks, the links on the these sites actually have some juice.

    After those are indexed do:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...s-limited.html

Again, after trying literally a dozen or so providers, this guy is the best for web 2.0 creation and linkwheels. He's on vacation, so you might have to wait.

Edu/Gov links are important for tough keywords:
Contextual edu backlinks : SEO SPIN

Also a backlink is worthless if it never gets seen by google. So subscribe to linklicious.me. For ~14, you can drip feed 10,000 links per day to the crawlers.

I would avoid profile links for a money site. But they are a great, cheap way to power up the backlinks you get from the Services above. On Fiverr, there is a seller named "worldofseo", he does the best xrummer blasts and link pyramids. Another service i use to power up backlinks is OneHourBacklinks.com. They provide indexed backlinks within an hour, but are a bit pricey compared to other services. But you get exactly what you order.

It's important that you don't go out buy all this at once. It'll be more effective if you do it over a three month period.

Just an FYI Paying subscribers to Linklicious get a OneHourBacklinks coupon emailed two weeks after their Linklicious account is billed. This coupon is valid for use on any single order and works for two weeks. The amount of the coupon is equal to the price of the Linklicious account. So FREE links.

If you're looking for recommendations then the only service/tools I can tell you about are the ones I have tried myself.

To answer your question, I would first invest my money in Market Samurai, which I use to research and target a niche, and then reverse engineer the competitors. Then I would also suggest using BMR to supplement this. It costs $59 a month, but is one of the best link building services on the market at the moment when you consider the amount of links that get indexed and the PR of these.

Don't blow your $1,000 in one go. Invest it in chunks each month on services like these.

Don't forget high PageRank links! Far too often people will blow thousands of dollars on little to no benefit link services and wonder why they don't rank. Had they thrown that into a good link profile with nice pagerank backlinks you'd be surprised how well you could rank for competitive keywords.

The big post above outlines great strategies for lower quality links, but make sure you mix in some decent backlinks as well.

Yeah I forgot that one item.

PR links are definitely important. For that I use link exchange forums, where I can find websites that are closely related to the niche and where I can pay for a permanent link. I'm not comfortable with paying monthly fees for backlinks though so I tend to avoid those.

High onpage PR blog comments and Wikis are also good, but these get spammed to death when they are discovered. Although, I have found some great sources that have not been discovered by anyone else. So its good to do your own searching.

Please expand on what you suggest for getting higher quality links.

    Ilse,

If I was to spend that money, Id first hope to have a very good ROI on my 1000$.

I personally always start by estimating how much revenues a site will generate. To do this, I simply estimate traffic, revenues, commissions and my wished-for rankings on a spreadsheet. I personally always use the same processes and templates for this phase (which I have recently released as a free wso btw).

Once I know the potential revenues per page/keyword, I evaluate the competition and then decide on a budget to allocate to each keyword promotion.

For example, by looking at your Analytics, you might find that 30% of your traffic and income comes from one single keyword. Now that might encourage you to budget accordingly and spend $300 on promoting this one keyword, the other $700 being spread on your other keywords.

Now once I know where my money is going, I usually apply these types of backlinks over 12 weeks in this order to EACH of my keywords. The actual number of submissions I would do would of course depend on the SERP competition.

    1. Index Bot (incansoft)
    2. RSSBot Submissions (for root domain only)
    3. Directories (for root domain only)
    4. Social Bookmarking
    5. Social Adr & Social Monkee
    6. Top 5 Article Directories
    7. Video Sharing
    8. High PR Blogs
    9. Pad submissions (softwares)
    10. Tutorial Websites
    11. Web 2.0 Properties
    12. Press Releases
    13. High PR Profile Links
    14. Boosting Web 2.0
    15. Article Directories
    16. AMR Submission
    17. UAW + MAN Submission
    18. Linkamotion
    19. Guest Posting
    20. Content Sharing
    21. Blog Links
##. Competitors best backlinks (this one is ongoing: do at least 5/week)

I hope this info will help you in finding the best use of your $1000.

My best advice with this kind of money, is to plan well in advance your SEO, your budget and your revenue potential. Then track, analyze, rinse, repeat and profit!

    All the best,

    Bertrand.

I think you need to check out your keywords, and see where you're currently ranked (or hire someone to do it).

Then check out your competition, and how you measure up in terms of backlinks (both quantity and quality), on page SEO, domain age, and PR.

You'll probably need to make some on page SEO changes to better rank your pages, and then you'll need a backlinking campaign to boost you up further.

    Link variety is very important.

I can't tell you what kind of links you need, because I don't know what kind of links you have. It depends on what part of the SEO process you're in, how many links you have built, the last time you built links, and how far/fast you'd like to move.

If you're interested. I run an SEO company in NY. I have clients all over the country ranging from local doctors to national franchises. I can send you a link to my site if you'd like.

    Thanks. ~englandrm

    Hey Ilse,

As far as Services, I outsource 95% of my SEO through oDesk.com (Online Outsourcing Site). You can find some fantastic people that will work for you! I have had my team for almost 2 years, and they are easy to work with and very skilled at what they do. It takes some time to get a team together, but once you get rolling, it frees up a lot of your time.

    Hope this helps!
