Website not appearing in yahoo

My website website appears on 1st page of google.com but strange thing is that it is not appearing on the top5 pages of yahoo I am unable to understand why this happen.Will I need to make yahoo backlinks to improve my SERP in yahoo If yes then how to make yahoo backlinks.

The backlinks are the same. You are talking two different search engines. Usually there is a little difference between the two. How old is your site? Have you ever been ranked on Yahoo? That information would help anyone that is trying to help you figure out the problem.

I've been having similar issues with my site on google vs yahoo. Is this normal?

I am also having a similar issue. I am ranked very well in Google (a whole lot of keywords on the first page) but am not ranked anywhere on Yahoo. I can't figure out why. I know Google is the top search engine, but I figure I could get even more traffic if I were in Yahoo
