AdWords Question

I am a newbie and I have exhausted the search function here to no avail.

1) If I want to use AdWords to promote 6 new and unique sites of mine, do I set up a new AdWords account for each domain? That way I can use a free coupon voucher for each new account.

2) If each new account has a unique url, unique keyword campaigns, unique email, but SAME contact/billing info, is this a problem?

3) Or do people just set up one master AdWords account and add additional domains/campaigns and just not enjoy the coupon credit for the others?

Thanks!
Cory

  • great you can....
  • Sign up for Adwords Multi-client center.

You can setup an account for each site, use a coupon for each site, yet control it all from one place. You can also have all the billing setup to use your info.

I use it to manage all my clients, and have not had a problem yet.
  • Outstanding. I already signed up for Adwords Multi-client center. I just wanted to make sure this is the proper technique commonly used.

    1) Can I link all of the Adword accounts to a single Analytics account?

    2) I read that you can create new Adword accounts thru MCC with separate email addresses for each one. If you use this new technique to create accounts, can you still use a coupon? Anybody done this yet?

    • Analytics should be fine with all the sites. Just install analytics as you normally would and hook it up to adwords. Each adwords account in your MCC is essentially it's own account, with a master control center.

I just added a new account with it's own email to my MCC. I installed the coupon, and hooked up the credit card, and everything seems alright. The money is showing in the account.
  • Did you receive coupon by email after adding a new account? Or did you acquire it by other means? Just not sure how to get one legitimately since I'm not going thru the interface that offers the current $75 coupon?
  • You can do it via client center but That will lead you to a ban. as you cant redeem a voucher via client center , and , you cant login from that spacific PC into another accounts without using Client center.
But people been doing it since long.
Try switching IP.s and Browser cache clearing to hide your detail.
    It works.

    • I suppose you use a VCC? How do you have a different name and address? Please PM me...would be interested in your $2 for $80 offer.
  • I can't image why it would lead me to a ban? When I click on a specific account, it takes me to the normal AdWords interface as if I set up that AdWords account the standard way. Then I simply add a voucher. That is against their terms?? Apparently, englandrm had no problems.

    • they dont bann you for just a single account. but when u hav used a voucher, they want you to continue using that account with CC, they dont want you to use another voucher to create account, use it, throw it away and use another one .
      They will bann your account.
  • Anyone else have info on this?

Seems to me that it's perfectly fine to set up multiple accounts thru MCC and then use an AdWords voucher for each account...as long as each account is for a different domain and campaign. Correct?
  • Sorry, I'm new to Adwords so I am just reading to learn it and I learned a lot from this.
  • so they want a single mcc account for my 7 personal websites with different promotional products and different campaigns?
  • I just read somewhere about a guy that specifically emailed Google to ask about this. They said they would prefer he simply use a single account for multiple site w/same billing info. But it is not against their rules to have multiple accounts w/the same billing info as long as each site has a DIFFERENT url used. And I'm not talking about hacking a landing page to redirect to the same url. I'm talking about unique urls w/unique sites/adwords.

    Thoughts?

    • If you just creating an account for yourself, creating a mcc account is probably useless and not needed, just create a single adwords account and use one credit voucher.

within that create seven campaigns / one for each site.

  • Not sure if you read my previous post, but I mentioned that I had found evidence that Google does not consider it double dipping if multiple accounts are promoting different, unique URLS. I am not trying to do the wrong thing here. I'm just finding conflicting stories. I appreciate the info you offered. It helps as the last thing I want is to be banned.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • I'd make separate accounts with different c/c infos
