So you've got your domain bought, hosting set up and wordpress set up! What's the first thing you guys do? Plugins? Themes? So far I've written 1 squidoo lens, and applied I SEO to all my WP pages. Tonight I plan on writing 10 or so articles and submitting them to directories.

I looked into my competition and none of them did any SEO other than backlinks of some freewebs. They aren't going to know what hit them!

Usually after WP is installed, I'll add the theme and all the plugins I need.

Then I'll add content, and get everything laid out how I want it (sidebars, menus, widgets, permalinks). Then I'll On Page Optimize all the content.

Search Engine Submissions, sitemap submissions, analytics setup, webmaster tools setup.

Next comes 50 high PR blog comments in the first week. I usually get them done manually.

I'll be having unique content popping out every other day on my site. Keyword optimized articles (that only show up on my site, I don't submit these to directories).

Week 2 is 100 manual blog comments, some social bookmarks, and then I order a few articles to get written and distributed (usually takes 2 weeks).

I keep the link building pressure on for the long term. Stick around 100 high PR blog comments until I'm ranked, then back it down to 50.

Then I start pushing the other pages up.
