35+K links into a blog!?

So I was talking to someone recently who mentioned they have a 'killer SEO strategy' and when I checked out their blog on yahoo site explorer, I saw they had over 39,000 inlinks.

How is this possible and how can someone who wants to invest in SEO make that happen? Should I be paying someone to build links like this daily/weekly/monthly over time etc?

    That could be nothing more than one or two sidewide links so the number doesnt say much. But if you have good site you will attract a lot of links of ther years. 36k is nothing in that context.

      Pagerank is logarithmic.
      if one PR6 is five PR5's, then that's the same as 25 PR4's, 125 PR3's, 625 PR2's or 3,125 PR0's, in terms of links.

      Of course Pagerank is just a gauge and shouldn't be valued as highly as it is on this subforum.

      And yes. It's naturally quality over quantity.
