Article Demon Or AMR?

I am looking for an article submission software and am debating between Article Demon or Article Marketing Robot. I have decided to purchase Bookmarking Demon for my social bookmarking and was going to go with AMR since most reviews I have read indicate that it is much easier to use than Article Demon, even though AD reviews seem to indicate it was slightly better.

However, I am thinking that maybe since I have to learn Bookmarking Demon, AD might be very similar and easy to use.

I am not going after incredibly competitive keywords so I am focused more on easier to use software. That is why I ruled out SenukeX. Most reviews seemed to indicate that one was difficult to learn and use.

Anyone using both or could shed some light on the subject and help me choose?

You can't go wrong with Article Marketing Robot. The speed of the software and the amount of links you can get make it very good value with no monthly fees. Looks like it is cheaper than the Demon too.

    • AMR works well, but what I have found is that a very small percentage of your articles actually get indexed by Google. You will need to use some sort of indexing tool to make sure you get the full value for your money.

I don't know if any of the folks who gave a vote for AMR have actually compared AMR to Article Demon. I have compared Article Demon to the free version of AMR and found I preferred Article Demon. Article Demon and Bookmarking Demon are very much alike and so you might prefer to stick with what you know.

I haven't used article demon, but I will say AMR is very easy to use. I like it, have good results with it, etc.

Does article demon have a trial? Pretty sure AMR does, maybe try both and see which one you prefer.

      Hi Josh,

Yes, outsourcing can indeed save you a lot of time. By the way, who do you outsource to?

  • Well I have only used AMR so I can only advise on that. What I will add is that it works, but is totally useless if you don't use some sort of indexing service to get your links indexed. All your articles are actually published etc, but Google just never finds them. Unless you're planning on using a tool to get them found, don't waste your time.

Is anyone else getting virus warnings with AMR? During submission, Avast says threat has been detected and it says trojan horse blocked.

Today, this message has appeared lots of times during submissions. Before it was only happening occasionally. Is this cause for concern?

Most people are satisfied with AMR and have never tried Article Demon. the AD developer has shot himself in the foot by not giving a trial. Yes if it does not work out people can get refunds but no one wants the hassle and the potential that the refund is difficult to get.

Someone who knows the developer should pass this on. AD will make no great headway until people can compare the two without risk. refunds are not risk free no matter what marketing copy says..

Neither of them; SubmitEaze is the best submitter I own. I own AMR, Article Demon, and SubmitEaze, and I can say that submiteaze has the best directory lists (AMR and Demon are full of dead directories and never get removed), and submiteaze does website directory submissions too.

It's also priced the same as the other two but provides two functions. So not only does it work better and is it better maintained, but is also better value for money.

I've no idea why SubmitEaze doesn't get more coverage on these forums because it's by far the best out there. I guess it's the sheep mentality; because everyone recommends one product everyone just blindly repeats it and believes it as gospel. It's not the case.

I second that notion. I've had AMR for a year, and although it's worked and I've gotten good results, it's been buggy and a hassle to run. I just bought Article Demon and will give it a try. Hopefully I'll be back to post some good results with it!

Have you downloaded the latest AMR version? I heard that is more stable.

I use AMR, but the links don't get indexed even 2 months later. What indexing service are most people using who are having success with AMR? I've tried bulkping to create RSS feeds out of the live links.

Yup, I've been in their forum a bit and tried explaining things, but either no one responds to my post, or if they do, it doesn't really help to solve my problem.

As for the bugs, I can only post like one article at a time, sometimes 2 or 3. For example, if I select like 20 articles to submit, it will submit like 1 or 2 of the articles to all the directories I have selected and then stop. The computer won't freeze, but the submission process would just stop. I tried using the scheduler to get around this, but it's the same thing. I will schedule all of my articles to be submitted, but it will only post to like one or 2 of them and then just stop. I have to keep going back to the scheduler to start it running again. I mean, the purpose of the scheduler is to give us a hands off way to submit our articles, but if I have to keep starting the scheduler over and over again, it pretty much defeats the purpose.

Also, the LiveLinks function causes my system to freeze sometimes.

These problems have been on 3 different machines, one of which runs Vista with a 3.2 GHz processor and 4 gigs of ram, which is PLENTY of resources to run the program. The other two systems have have Windows XP and Windows Server 98 with 1 gig of ram each and about 2 gigs of processing power.

Also, I don't like how the scheduler in AMR only lets you submit each article to a max of 100 sites at a time. I'd like the freedom to choose any number.

Those are my main complaints with AMR.

Maybe you should try contacting the owner of the program directly?

Any number would be good, but it does let you submit all at once. Seeing as there is no point scheduling unless you do de-capture manually and don't feel like filling in so many captures in one go, you may as well submit all at once.

Well it depends what you want to do.

As someone who has both Article Marketing Robot and Article Demon, they are actually two very different pieces of software. I wouldn't say one is better than the other.

If you want straight up backlinks, you will probably want Article Marketing Robot as there are a ton of auto approve lists floating around that can get you a ton of backlinks quick. However the software can be buggy and to get a good amount of links you are going to have to still go through lists that have tons of worthless sites.

Article Demon I would say is a better designed piece of software as it never crashes, but because it is the less popular of the two, finding auto-approve directories is tougher (even if you import your AMR list into AD, a lot of them will fail).

Article Demon I would say is better for those that want to straight up use the software for Article Marketing purposes (ie. drive traffic through articles), as it allows you to keep track of your articles better. It is a more organized piece of software.

So it really depends what you are using the software for, backlinks or true article marketing.
