everyone seems to make it complicated but to be honest it doesn't have to be...

No-Follow: You receive no link juice from the backlink
Do-Follow: You do receive link juice from the backlink

    hope this helps

not 100% on that but i'm pretty sure both are clickable. Just no-follow passes no linkjuice. If your wondering why some links are clickable and other aren't then it is because of the http:// at the start of the link, if it is just "www.google.com" or "google.com" it won't be clickable.

hope it makes more sense now.

      regards,
      Brendan

        So this isn't clickable -> google.com

        ??

Link juice is an extremely vague term. Nofollow links specifically do not pass PageRank and they do not pass anchor text. This means no boost in authority or relevance. Matt Cutts has said himself that nofollow links have absolutely no SEO benefit, but I'm not sure I believe it.

I think it's possible that nofollow links still pass Trust and help with rankings. It's been debated relentlessly, I won't argue, but it's best to be open-minded.

Remember, Matt Cutts is speaking from Google's perspective.

The rel=NoFollow tag that's included as part of the Link tag means no authority (or in google's terms - pagerank) is passed as part of the link. These links are still Indexed and crawled by the search engines but won't have SEO benefit as far as Google is concerned.

And yes, the trust component has been debated many times. I'm like you, not sure if there is no SEO value to these links, remember we don't know all the rules that the big G uses!

Brendan is right, IMO. I tend to believe that Google does not pass any link juice through nofollow links. Some will argue that they do. But from what I can gather, the general opinion is that Google does not pass link juice through nofollow links.

I've always looked at them as a way to look more natural when link building. It's pretty unnatural to have nothing but dofollow links. Though this could just be me being paranoid.

build them both because if you have no nofollow links you will probably be penalized, at least this is what seomoz data shows

      thanks do-follow.
how do i know, im using a firefox plugin called searchstatus which has a feature which highlights everything that is do follow in like red. To be honest i don't know how to do it manually or any other way im sure someone else will help you out if you need it.

it really depends on whether the admin of the site would like people linking out of there site.

Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine. Dofollow allow search engine to crawl links. Nofollow tag we can use if we are using a link for reference not for crawl. Both are good for human traffic.

There is nothing like do follow the tag which use is no follow, that is use by webmaster on their website and blog for getting free for spammer. The tag mean no to follow and not to pass the link value.

No follow links don't pass PR juice to your site but do follow links pass the page rank of the site on which the link is present to to your site. Both types of links are important to make your link building campaign look natural and ethical.

The dofollow link online signifies that it thinks which a link is credible enough being from their webpage and they might recommend other users and appearance engine robots to adhere to this link. This can be perfect for the hyperlink which can be followed because this would increase its traffic and pr on the internet, alternatively no harm would be performed to the individual that mentions this link. The NoFollow attributes are convinced that the url could be mentioned for the webpage, even so the owner does not think its credible enough to be followed. This attribute is generally for that commenting section and advertising, in the event the website isn't mindful of this content on the site they are linking to. DoFollow links for website which have been blacklisted by Google could be harmful to the publisher, simply because it would resulted in decrease of their own personal page rank. So it’s advised that only follow those links that you just know would not harm your individual google page rank.
