Have 5 "Lead Gen" sites - can I use the same article on all 5?

Hey guys!

I am in the process of ranking my 5 lead generation sites, for the rent-a-site model.

I wrote 5 different articles of about 400 words each and submitted to goArticles. I am new to article marketing, but I was not happy that none of the articles are indexed after 2 days, even though I was not keyword spamming and the content was 100% unique, I made it myself (not rewriting).

Anyway, I thought to myself that I think it would help my own site rank higher in the SERP's if I just linked from the articles back to my home page or whatever using my keywords as the anchor text. So in the end, this would help my own site.

Is it possible for me to write one article, and post it to all 5 of my sites (changing only the links and anchors to be suitable to that specific site) without getting in trouble, or something? All of my sites are hosted on the same server, same IP - but have no trouble ranking decently already, I just want to push them up higher!

    Hi krzysiek,

    For best results you should use unique articles on each site. Google has a duplicate content filter that will filter all but one of you duplicated articles from most SERPs. By using unique articles they each could be ranked in the SERP simultaneously.

    I agree with dburk; each site should have its own unique content. I know it's kind of a pain having to write 5 new articles but that will keep you from getting penalized for duplicate content.

      From my understanding, if you use duplicate content within different article directories or any other site for that matter, you still get the link juice from each article directory. The only drawback is that each of your articles that you have submitted will not be indexed if one copy is already indexed within the serps.
