My site suddenly disapper from google ranking!

Please anyone help. My one of the affiliate site disappeared today from google. It was at 1st and 2nd rank for many keywords. Site was 1 year old and was PR 2. I am unable to understand what happened to my site.

After checking my content in copyscape I found one of the site copied my 2 post and had posted on his site as it is 100% copy. I already have sent him an email for removing the articles.

But still I am not able to understand that it was the reason as my site is 1 year old and with pr 2 home page and one of the inner page. Can anyone have suggestions what to do know?? It was very profitable site for me.

  • - enter yourdomain.com in google and see if you are listed. If you are listed, you are not banned. Your site is simply dropping in ranking.
    - After panda update, sites need to focus on providing content that is unique and offers value to the site user. Go to your site and ask yourself if the website content is worth reading. Make sure it answers the question and benefits the site visitor.
    - Remove too many adsense ads or banners on your website.

    • Thanks for the suggestion but As I only have 5 posts in my site and everyone is well written with full of informative content and I didn't use adsense or so much graphics for better conversion. All the pages are indexed in google. Could you please suggest me if I tweak my posts little bit then is it possible to get my previous rank?

      Not unless you want someone to steal your niche.

      Most people here are helpful, but unfortunately there's always a few lurkers just waiting to steal ideas.
  • This is a nightmare...
    Instead of google, please check your site using Bing , Yahoo or etc..
    Is your site ranked fine with your keywords..;-)

  • sounds like a classic panda issue....the panda algo is applied periodically page by page...i'd guess they just got around to analyzing your page quality
