Like the Electron Plumber- see here-http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...nt-2011-a.html I too am a lazy backlinker. I would much rather write content than backlink. However, I am lazier than the electron plumber. Many, if not all of his tested methodologies require some actions each month from the site owner getting the link. This is more than I would like to be involved, so I have decided to run a similar test, but with hands off backlinking services.

Basically I get to send them my keyword(s), url(s) and then get a report each month. You know the ones you see here, the google blaster, the google annihilator, etc.

So to that end, I have purchased 5 similar .com domains. All are the exact same words, they all have a hyphen, the hyphen just moves. Each .com has a hyphen. My goal was to make the domain as similar as possible to eliminate that from tainting my test.

I have also ordered 25 unique articles, 5 for each site, and all 5 sites will be hosted in different ip address hosting accounts so google will view each one as competition for each other.

Right now I am waiting on the articles, so until then, I can choose the services. I have three I am pretty sure about, but could be swayed on two of them, which means we have room for at least 2 if not 4 more based on suggestions here.

At this point due to budget restraints, and to keep all things equal, we will be looking at services which cost less than $100/month and special consideration will be given for those less than $75/ month. Obviously I will be weighing out what I get for the money spent. I am also open to any provider wanting me to include them for a discount of their fee. If you think your service can stand up to the test, by all means, pm me.

I am not trying to hijack the Electron Plumber, or rain on his parade. I am just doing this test so I can find the best service for me, and I thought others would appreciate it.

My goal is to run for six months and give weekly or semiweekly updates. The frequency will be determined by the results. If I am not getting much movement week to week, no since in wasting everyone's time.

Please share your suggestions and or questions if you have any.

Thanks,

Kurt

Sounds awesome! I've been following the electron plumber's experiment what a lot of interest but the idea of discovering what is the best automated service is definitely of interest to me.

Next up - fully automated vs. other backlink services!

I'd be interested in the results of this experiment. Backlinking is the bane of my existence.

Do you intend to share the domains with us or do you value the niche enough to not let us in on that part of the experiment?

At this point I do not plan on sharing the domains because someone could screw with the test. I may share the niche when all is said and done.

Quick update- I found what appears to be a fantastic backlinking service for this little seo test. However, it involves a little more action from me than what I would have liked. I wrote more about it in my sig link below.

Once I have all 5 nailed down, I will reveal them here. Still open to more suggestions and thanks for those that pm'd me already.

Content is now in. I ordered from http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...kMEiNzLLsrMov0, and let me tell you, this will now be my go to article guy. Great price. service, and content.

Uploading the content and narrowing down the suppliers. I have 4 decided on and cannot find a 5th that suits me. Anyone have an idea to offer, please send it.

As it stands, we officially launched this morning. 2 of the competitors hail from the WF, 2 I found on google but later found 1 is a member here as well, and the third I found over at thefastlaneforum.com

I did everything I could to keep everything equal but the services so all is a level playing field.

Interesting mix of backlink providers that you list on your site. I'm not familiar with most of them so I'll be very curious to see how they fare. Whoever the winner is will certainly get some business from me and I'd assume some others here who will at least want to check them out.

Alright- he got to page 1 after a couple of days? Sounding a little to good to be true or the keyword they are are trying to rank for is super simple.

These sites are designed to see a pop during the school year which should be starting soon, so no money yet. Still have not made a decision as far as revealing the competition of the keywords.

all the same niche. all related. these are not the keywords, but for example: best italian food, best italian pasta, best pizza. That sort of relation.

still weighing on whether or not to reveal competition of the keywords.

Excellent idea for a test - I'm gonna book mark and watch. Are you going to do keep tabs on how many links are indexed each week/month, and maybe use BackLinkEnergiser on one set? Good luck with the tests!

nope, not worried about that. I am just here to monitor the serps. the indexing of the links is up to the service if that is their strategy.

I this point I lean towards linkpushing for the simple reason that I can buy a larger package and split it over multiple sites depending on what that sites needs are.

the reason I hesitate on this is that would make the test, xyz services vs serps instead of the services against each other. Even if the keyword is "purple dinosaur mold", clearly one service is better than the others, regardless of the competition. I may reveal midway through the test at the 13 week point. Still not sure.

What would you recommend now? Before you recommended the linkpushing service, but now that seems to have slipped while the SenukeX service (that sucked the entire time) suddenly seems to be dominating.

Edit: Also, I'm not sure if you mentioned this, but which package did you buy for each service? In other words, how much did you pay for each service?

Edit #2: In addition, I think people want to know just how competitive these keywords are because it gives us some background information on how well these services are. For example, if the services you are using are ranking that high for "car insurance", then that's amazing. If it's for something like "blahworld pink dinosaur", then that's just lame.

Looking at the number of competing pages is irrelevant. You compete with 10 pages at the top only. This would be better test if it showed us how competitive the Top 10 is a screenshot of Market Samurai would be great, no keywords needed, just the right side of it)..

I discovered this test through google searching and so eventually arrived at the WF and joined! It's the best thing I've seen on SEO thanks.

I graphed the results before I came across this thread but would be happy to share the excel file if anyone wants it. (it includes all 23 weeks)

The results so far seem pretty clear Chris is on the front page more consistently than the others, link pushing/seo jack are pretty close but can't seem to overcome that 10 listing place and then SEnukeX was terrible for the first month and a bit and then seems to be getting into it's stride and ahead of link pushing.

In terms of buying I'd go Chris, SEnukeX, Link Pushing (althoug I'm not sure that SEO Jack is much different)

I'm about to purchase from one (or two) of them so I'd be interested if anyone thinks I've assessed it wrongly.

          Hey Alan,

My take is that you assessed it correctly.

Fact is, I'm using two of your three top pick services right now (Chris and Linkpushing).

I have been a startup user of Linkpushing when I first got on kurtyordy's case study. My sites then were mostly new and were far, far down in the rungs of the SERP ladder.

Then I found Chris through this thread and started using his service. Everything changed for the better since then.

I use Linkpushing to build a slow, steady flow of backlinks; Chris' service to really jump on the SERPs.

I love both services as they're completely hands-off and, most importantly, they really deliver the goods, so to speak.

With both services, of course, budget is essential. But I say it really is all worth the money.

When finances permit, I'll start using the SEnukeX service kurtyordy is using in this case study. That should complete my SEO triumvirate.

Until then, I wish you all the best!

thanks both of you and I agree completely. the next step would be to test mixes and matches. I am putting together other tests for lower tier links for second and third level. When I am finished testing a few more, it should be pretty easy for anyone to build a solid, semiautomated seo plan.

    Hi.
Number of Google results in irrelevant. It does not say anything about real competition - which is only 10 results from 1st page.

Could you also give some more information about real competition for these KW:
    - what PR does first 10 results have
    - how many backlinks first 10 results have

    Cheers

    Kris

I would strongly disagree with you regarding the relevancy, but I will readily admit the data you requested is much more indicative to the strength of the competition.

If there is only 1 competing page for a term, lets say "purple horse poop", it will be a lot easier to rank for that term. In fact, I would guess that after a few weeks, this thread will not become 1 of 3 results for that phrase in quotes. if not faster.

if a search term has 10 billion search results, one must climb through all of these to get to the the first page before the first page even becomes relevant.

Of course not and any quantitative comparison of something in general terms is completely meaningless and people saying things like this can safely be ignored.

I'd hit the thanks button but apparently that's not an option for new members. But thanks for the info. Should help many trying to decide which way to go when considering backlinks. Anyway, out of curiousity what is your ROI? Is it anything decent?

These backlink experiments are great but I often wonder about the return on investment. You say you've spent $1500 so far and obviously have gotten good serp movement. But are the pages that are on the tops spots making you any money? Have you been able to recoup your investments? If so, is it by a good margin?

Hi, Kurt. I may have overlooked this somewhere. Are you tying each keyword to each individual page or 3 keywords to the main URL? As in:

    http://www.mainkeyword.com
    keyword 1
    keyword 2
    keyword 3

    Or

    http://www.mainkeyword.com/keyword1-page
    keyword 1

    http://www.mainkeyword.com/keyword2-page
    keyword 2

    http://www.mainkeyword.com/keyword3-page
    keyword 3

    Thanks!

I am interested in Chris' service from the warrior forum. Can you tell me how many times you have ordered from Chris so far for this backlinking service test and are you just sending backlinks to the homepage? For each order, how many urls and keywords are you using?

I have order 6 times from chris. three keywords. trying to rank the homepage. if each service has the right to link to subpages as well if this is part of their strategy to boost the serps of homepage.

I love this thread! Thanks a bunch!

I was wondering if you have an opinion on this question: Which one of these services would be best for targeting interior pages with semi-competitive keywords? I'm looking for a service where I can throw a few backlinks at pages that are ranking in the teens or 20's to try to get them up to the first page. It would be one where I could change the keywords/urls every month or two.

Plus, do you think The Link Juicer is worth it for helping with this type of backlinking?

Thanks again for the hard work on this thread!

I will say either chris or senukex services. If I was in your shoes, I would run each url you want to rank through each service to give you a more diverse link profile.

Well, because of this thread I have 2 sites on the first page of Google and three more on second page.

And those are the only sites that I've promoted using the services which are being tested by kurtyordy in his case study. How cool is that?

This thread, indeed, is of great value!

    Hey everyone,
I am thinking about buying Chris from warriorforum's service as it seems to be a pretty clear winner from these tests.
I have just one website I am trying to rank, I have a main keyword and 2 secondary keywords, and 5 page on the site.
Should I just have him do all the links for my homepage, or would it be a good idea to have him link one of my secondary keywords to a different page on the site?
Seems like Chris has he best service... Do you guys think I'd be better of goin with chris or a service such as BMR?
    Thanks

You can do it however you want. Most of my clients give me the main URL and their main keywords and then a secondary URL with a couple of keywords for that one. It's really up to you and your goals. As far as my service vs. BMR I think it is a no brainer. I am going to give you a lot more submissions for less money. BMR you have to write a lot of posts or pay someone and it gets expensive. Of course it is my service so I'm a little biased . BMR is a great service to have but I am submitting to 7 networks like BMR so you are getting more bang for your buck.

many swear by linking to inner pages, this test for the most part was the homepage.

bmr gives you good results and flexibility but the effort and time of doing it is pretty high. for that reason I would go with chris.

      Hi,

I was wondering about your backlink test:

1: When you use chris service, how often do you use it? do you buy 1 or more new packages each month or just 1 then when the 60 days has gone you buy another one?

2: on how many keywords do you use it on at the same time (per package)?

      Looking forward to your reply!

    same question as reviewed

Would like to know how aggressive you are using each service. If you are using Chris service more aggressively or equally to the others? You said you order from chris 6 times so how many linkpush did you buy, how many senuke, etc.

Also did you do anything else to these links as in indexing them? I see that Chris does not offer a service to index the links he creates.

did you combine any other SEO methods with these services, or simply let them at it?
