How long to stabilize rankings

Does anybody know how long a new site takes to stabilize in rankings? My new sites seem to be popping in and out from the serps regularly.

My other sites that are older seems to be very stable in rankings. I just want to know if it's something that I am not doing correctly or it's just the domain age.

Google recently had a chance to the algos and it is using a method dubbed 'Panda.' You should read some of the threads from earlier. Just do a search. There was one thread this morning where someone wanted to give up because the serps kept jumping. they argued over whether google is reliable or not for rankings (moral of the story-- don't put your all your eggs in a basket).

The older sites are more established, so that is why they don't jump. Good work.

Some are dubbing it a new ball game in SEO. I'm not so great with SEO, but you should learn how to use the new google ranks. good luck.

  Ah yea the newer sites bouncing around on the "Google dance". Just keep adding backlinks regularly and your site will eventually settle in. The more links (good ones) the more you rank. That simple. It can take a couple months to get Google to be good. Hang in and keep up the BL.

Just keep on building high quality backlinks. It can take months for a new site to stabilize. Just be patient, and your hard work will pay off.
