I don't keep a track of how many links I build to each site, I orginize my work using Microsoft office (Excel, word etc) and I own a couple of websites, to be honest the people who own 50+ blogs aren't doing all of the work themselves. If your finding link building hard for both of your websites, consider outsourcing some of the work load onto somebody else.

If you've got the money, outsource it, some people offer great packages on here for cheap, check out the classifieds section.

Besides my main 2 sites I own 5 micro niche blogs...

For my blogs I outsource writing articles.... 1 article per week for each blog.

About the backlinking I outsource the most part to fiverr (AMR blasts,Link Wheels,Pyramids e.t.c.) and I do Social Bookmarking myself.

Don't worry about the number, just develop a system where you can do it efficiently whichever way you go about it. The worst thing you can do is waste time IMO.

No because your link would point to your site, not the .org site. Your site would get all the benefit.
