I'm having trouble logging into Senuke, and cannot access the forum or login to the members area...

Does anyone else have this problem?

  • yes, I have the same problem so just thought I'd check on here to see if anyone else posted.

    • Yeh....this isn't the first time this week. Nice, if you schedule a full monthy and your accounts aren't created....or your posts are all failed.

      $127 a month...they should have decent hosting

  • I have the same trouble too :p
  • Haven't used it today but this is the third forum where people say its down so my guess would be yes
  • I would of thought they could get an elastic IP - this would ensure that if an IP gets a DOS, they could move quite quickly - I doubt the DOS is hitting more than a few IPs at a time - Just my 2 cents - and yet another afternoon wasted because it is down again

    • Over the years, other than right now, I can't remember a time when SENUKE wasn't able to run...So, I think I can forgive a little bit of down time, especially KNOWING that areeb and Joe are on top of it.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • First time happening to me. My Senuke crashed a few minutes ago only and now it's showing me a registration window. I was running it fine until 1:20 this afternoon.
  • Thanks for all the updates guys, I'll keep checking back.

I bought it for a year, and going to use it and its not working. Looking forward to getting started. Is there a manual available?
  • [DELETED]
  • yeah its not working for me either, I ran a campaign last night and the success rate on everything was atrocious.. like not a single press release went through, you think it being down now had something to do with that?
  • first thing they must do is to move their support forum to another server. it makes no sense for it to be on the same one.
    • [1] reply
    • Then at least they will be able to send us some notice that they are working on it if their support was on another server.
      • [1] reply
  • They should take a look at how MLB users are kept in the loop when issues arise.
  • Guys, we need to be able to get into our servers to be able to fire off an email. We weren't able to get in until recently either!

And trust me, we've been DDoS'd before and have weathered through the storm pretty easily. This attack was massive though. But we've taken very strong precautions to make sure even heavy attacks won't harm us in the future. My apologies, didn't see it coming.
    • [2] replies
    • "Didn't see it coming" is part of the hackers mantra, isn't it, like Neo in the Matrix saying something will work because no one has ever done it before.
    • Hey Areebb

Thanks for letting us know. Any guess on when things are likely to be back up?
  • Areebb, Guys, please kindly help me..

I got auto-monthly pay to senukex and just a few hours ago, my account expired and my paypal got a deducted 147 dollars.. apparently, paypal thought that I dont allow this transfer so they withold it until reviewed.... Now i cannot login to senuke I think my account expired. what should I do?
    • [1] reply
    • Well you might want to wait a little bit until they get the servers back up. Right now, NO ONE can log into SE Nuke X. And it's because of the denial-of-service attacks. So hold on and once they come back up, you might be able to log in just fine.

And yes, I agree with all those comments above. I have a bunch of orders to input and start running, but I can't until this gets resolved. I'm trying to work on other projects, but it's still pulling me away checking on things because of my pending projects.

Areeb: Thanks for checking in here and letting us know how things are going. Very much appreciated!

  • I'm surprised it hasn't happened before. The software by design hits sites and servers with ton loads of backlink's left on it that the forum owners don't want. Seems like Senuke's server would have a bullseye on it.

    • man, i was freaking out!!!

i un-installed the software thinking something was wrong with it or something, then i go to re-install and it wouldnt connect... i was like omfg lol nice to see that i will be able to reinstall without problems once they fix the issue

almost had a mini-heart attack for a sec..
      • [1] reply
    • It has happened many times before... BUT never on this scale.. they have always brushed it off pretty quickly ...

I suspect a lesson will have been learnt here... and new systems will be in place.. BUT remember even huge corporations have been taken down, so no matter what they do I doubt it will be the last time.

What there does need to be however is a mechanism to stop each persons copy of SEnuke running scheduled tasks if for any reason the server is down.
      • [1] reply
  • It shouldn't come as a surprise that once in a while the servers go down

    • It is up now? I cannot login..

just wondering if its ok now or still down..

      thanks
  • First time poster long time reader

There seems to be a two segment divide of Senukex customers

    1. The major fans who will defend the software till the end
    2. The customers who feel there are not getting value for money from the service

Me..I sit somewhere in the middle(nothing like sitting on the fence is there, it's always the best view).

What other options are out there that do the same job with such ease?

If there isn't maybe someone/a team should develop such software.

I've got an email from the SEnuke team stating the reason for there downtime. Also sounds like there about to roll out further developments to the software as well.

    • It all depends if your DNS servers have been updated or not.. also you need the none www version to be updated to the new IP for the program to work... so for many people it still does not work at the moment.
  • still cannot login = ="
    • [1] reply
    • About half an hour ago I was able to login. No it's down again :-(
  • K this worked out for me...

    just follow the instruction below...

    Using SENuke During DNS Propagation

For those of you that want to use your SENuke before the DNS propagates you can do the following..

First you need to search for notepad in Windows then right click on it in the list and choose "Open as administrator" from the menu.

Then you have to locate your "hosts" file in windows which is usually c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

If it you don't find it there then Google it for your version of Windows.

Then you need to add these two IP addresses to the file...

    174.37.9.201 www.senuke.com
    174.37.9.201 senuke.com

    And save it.

If you can't save it still because you don't have administrator rights then you need to right click on the file then choose properties > security > edit > then check modify.

Then save the file, and then restart SEnuke.

YOU MUST change the file back in 3 days time so you don't have any connection problems in the future.
  • After changing my hosts file, this did not work for me.
  • Worked for me
  • It's still bouncing...one minute it works, two minutes later it's down. Did the "host-trick" but doesn't make any difference. I'm sure they are working on it!
  • Yeah its temporary fix. It worked for a moment and then again verification problem. Damn gotta wait more....
  • it is working for me.. but sometimes it stops.. then continue again.. then stops again in 404 errors.

    • Got SENuke to work briefly earlier today but now its back down. Strange thing is when i check downforeveryoneorjustme.com to find out if the site is actually down, it shows that it is not. Its just me... So it seems that their site is up elsewhere but not for me?
      • [2] replies
  • Just wait for the DNS propagation to complete guys.

If by the end of the day tomorrow it still doesn't work for you, PM me your IP address and I will check it out. Due to the DDOS attacks a lot of IPs have been banned, and there could be some false positives, although they should be rare.
  • its really down .... up to now..

or is it just me? i logged in for like 12 hours and its ok.. but not its down again.
    • [1] reply
    • Yes, down in the UK this morning. Was OK yesterday pm.
Can't authorise it or even access senuke.com from the VPS which its on, even with different IPs, including US and Australian ones. Yet can access it from my home PC.

  • It was up for me most of the day here in Daytona Beach, I was even able to download the critical update after the crash, but now it's down. The screen is still open I can close it and reopen it but the program features are not very responsive. Time for dinner.
  • I think they need to change the way senuke verifies licenses, right now it seems like any little action such as creating an account on a site or updating the settings triggers a license check. This is not only pointless since crackers/hackers have already found lots of ways around this but it puts a tremendous amount of stress on their resources and as we're seeing now it with this extended down time. If they would just authenticate whenever the program starts we wouldn't have such a big mess.
  • it was working all day yesterday for me after being down for a day. Now it's down again since the past hour.
  • From the looks of the comments (sorry all I understand about DDOS is that it is SENuke being hacked), this may not get resolved anytime soon. I mean major sites like paypal and others have been hit with this and had wacky results for days.

Rats. I finally figured out this beast and then this happens. lol

  • Just sent out this email guys.

    Hey guys,

First of all, my sincere apologies about all that has taken place the last couple of days.

The DDoS attacks have been non-stop since the last 3 days. These guys refuse to give up. It's a shame how low some people can go to destroy another's business.

In the process of mitigating these attacks, our system had to ban thousands of IP addresses. Unfortunately many of these were "false positives", so real customers got banned.

The good news is, those bans only last for 45 minutes to an hour and a half maximum. So if you were able to get into SEnuke earlier, but then weren't able to get in after a while, that would explain why.

Here's what you need to do:

We have just released another update (v1.2.6) which will prevent real customers from going on the temporary ban list. So as soon as you are able to get back into SEnuke, make sure you update to the latest version. Versions prior to 1.2.6 will not work and will get you added to the temporary ban list again.

After you do the update to 1.2.6, everything should be smooth sailing from there.

If you can't get in right now, you're probably on the temp ban list and will need to wait 45 minutes to an hour and a half to be removed from that list.

If you still can't get in after an hour and a half, DNS has probably not yet propagated in your area (it has propagated in 90% of the world already). Even without being able to access senuke.com, you can get in touch with us by accessing our forum through this link:

    SEnuke.com • Index page

(If you can't get to that page, then you're still on the temp ban list and will need to wait it out.)

P.S. Our website might still go down from time to time for 15-20 minute intervals as we block new waves of these attacks, but that won't affect the software much once you update to v1.2.6.

    Best,
    Areeb & The SEnuke Team

    • Areeb,

It's been a few hours and nothing is working for me, including the link in your email or the regular Senuke site. I'm in Florida if that means anything. Sure would like to be up and running again. Anything you or I can do? Any estimated time frame for people like me? Thanks!

P.S. I'm editing this post. I'm up and running with 1.2.6 now. 11:15 pm Eastern time. I hope things stay good. SEnuke rocks. Hate to be without it.

P.P.S. Down again after about 5 minutes of nuking. The site and the software. It's frustrating for me. But I can only imagine what you're going through. I'll try to stay out of your hair and let you figure it all out. Looking forward to better days.
