Google Indexed Me Within 14 hours

Yesterday I asked some questions on the thread about screen capture / video stuff for linux.

this morning I checked my email and found this email:

Google Web Alert for: james fraze
Index of /tutorials
Parent Directory - ff-bookmark-toolbar.ogg 01-Jan-2009 13:31 11M ff-flashblock. ogg 01-Jan-2009 13:35 14M fz-setup-site-manage..> 01-Jan-2009 13:09 5.2M ...

(I setup an alert for james fraze at Google Alerts, to be notified immediately when that phrase appears on the internet)

All I did was post a link to the videos in this forum.

Please don't think: cool so I can spam warriorforum and get indexed!

Instead think: forum posting in a normal/participatory way that adds value will get my site indexed.

Wow, 14 hours! Google must be slacking. They typically index links from this forum much quicker than that.

  The point is for the people that ask "how do I get indexed in google"
  
  Google doesn't scan every page all the time.
  
  There are faster ways using other methods, higher page rank sites, etc. I was just sharing results - and it could of been faster, but from the time I posted until the time I got the alert when I woke up was about 14 hours.
  
  Also, this thread got indexed and I got an alert within 3 hours... just FYI

And yes, Google is good at what they do and getting better all the time. That's why it's better to play by their rules instead of trying to find ways around them.

Actually from 14-24 hours is average time for all my websites to be indexed by google, google is really quick if you just know how to tempt them

I uploaded a youtube video and then a couple hours later was doing some research on my keywords I am targeting only to find that my youtube vid had already been picked up by google videos and was indexed on the 1st or 2nd page with my phone # entered in the description wrong

14 hours is good and you can make it more earlier if you are lucky...I always experience 8 to 12 hours through jumptags..

well google do not want you to submit your website directly to it...and always good forums like warriors helps you to index in SE indirectly
