Do people ever comment on your SEO articles?

I recently posted an article on Hubpages purely for SEO purposes. Most of the information was incorrect, poorly spun, etc. People are commenting about how it's a great article and that it was useful. I feel sorry for the people that actually use those websites and think they are reading articles that don't contain SEO spam. Has this happened with anyone else?

    • I totally agree with you. People dont just comment for the sake of doing so they are up to something any time they comment on your site.
  • There are many companies around providing article/blog commenting services and it does not matter to them what the article is...!

  • Well the article I wrote was about statistics and someone with a statistics reference in the username posted in the comments. I'm pretty sure it wasn't spam.

  • I don't think you guys get the point that the person wasn't a bot. Nevermind...
  • I posted some articles in UAW and I got people commenting on those articles too.
  • Spam is full of internet, especially on those website without nofollow matas, I can't help laughing every time I saw some spammy comments which has nothing do to the articles. Sh*tting is their job.
