  • I'd work for a percentage of the revenue, and considering its a friend, work out some sort of "mates rates" arrangement.
  • Emm i wouldn`t know where to start with him on the shared revenue plus he`s pretty shrude even drives a Lamborghini i just kinda want a lump sum
  • It isn't that difficult really. You get a percentage of whatever the site makes. Performance based services are usually the best way to do things. You get what you put into it and you don't have to justify what you are worth.

  • If he drives a Lambo and you think you can get him ranked easy. Charge what you think you are worth and what is comfortable for you not to think you have given it away or ripped him off.

Only you know how much work you will do, how hard it will be for you, how much effort you will put in and how much you think it is worth.
  • There are many ways you can promote your site online but link building has proves to be the most effective among the all. Because proper link building helps your site to rank higher in the search engines result pages. If you are looking for the most effective way of getting not just traffic but targeted traffic to your site then you must have to look in the direction of link building.

  • If you are techie then you should try it yourself because things are fairly simple to everybody and it is open to all like you can do back linking, article marketing, social bookmarking etc. but if you want to hire somebody then it will cost you around $150/M
  • Always remember don't mix friendship with business. Charge on results, not on friendship!
  • This thread is about how much to charge a friend. Not is SEO hard. Stick to the topic!
  • I think it would be best to pay according to the results attained.
  • Even if you get him ranked, his site can lose the ranking if you don't continue working on it.

Get a monthly retainer of a few hundred at minimum, and keep track of his progress, recommend a few other keywords he could get ranked for to help him out and help him with his site.

Depending on how profitable the keyword is, the higher you can charge.
