Can anyone tell me what the "rules" or conditions are on using brand/product names on EMD niche sites?! Secifically in the domain here.

I thought it was generally something to avoid, yet I see people doing it, so I`m obviously missing something.
#brand #emd #name or product #niche #sites

I can tell you I wouldn't do it (product brand name), unless you own the brand. The reason is, you never know what that brand might do, some might not care, some might get pissed off about it, you just don't know until it happens.

I would do something like hxxp://cars.com/sports-cars/2012-camaro/ then rank the .../2012-camaro/ page. That way nobody can threaten legal action against the domain, an internal page can be replaced all day long & still keep the domain name.

BTW, just because you see other people do things doesn't make it ok, a lot of IMers don't think about tomorrow, all they care about is what can they get today.

Before even considering a domain name with a brand in it, you'll need to check whether it's trademarked.

For example, I would avoid something like: toyotacars. com or xboxgames. org.
