I honestly don't think so. Google has a huge market power and can force just about anything down users' throuats, BUT in order to be successful longterme, you need to build a community as big as FB. And even Google will have work hard on that first.

If getting unlimited targeted leads (like: you don't know what to do with them all) sounds good, find out more about the leads angle of RepWarn.PW:

I deffinatly think G+ has the potential to take down FB, i think the user may prefer the algorythms of google as opposed to FB's lists. I predict that we will see FB slowly die ( like myspace) as G+ becomes more popular, but i think it will take some time

I think it will be successful as it is alot cleaner and simpler than facebook with added security functionality. Add the fact that they have a huge initial sign up and it is still in Beta with much more to come.

My prediction is it will give FB a run for it's money but once the novelty wares off it's anyones guess.

Google+ must die, Google gets way to much power if they succeed.

I think Google+ is going to be successful. That doesn't necessarily mean facebook is going to die. One thing is for sure.... people are not just going to stop using facebook. To many personal connections have been made there.

I hope not. I already dont like the fact that they have so much power. Despite their obvious size though, they are still playing major catch up with FB for what FB does.

I'm not that impressed with Google+. To me it looks like someone had a Facebook clone script and changed a few colors. Completely unoriginal.

They need some hook that really draws people in. Facebook users have a lot invested in Facebook. People have put wedding albums and photos of big events on Facebook. I don't see them just abandoning that. Also, if none of their friends are using it, they aren't going to use it.

Something interesting I found recently... There have been two studies done that I have found so far taking data from about a million Google+ users. Both these studies found that between 70-75% of the users are men. If that trend continues, Google+ has no chance.

Not to sound sexist or anything like that, but women are more social creatures than men. A large part of the success of Facebook is because of women.

Men will go where the women are.

I will say that I like the Circles idea and the Hangouts. I could see Hangouts being great for IM'ers and especially network marketers.

Even though i like it, but i'll still prefer FB to grow, because i hate Google's monopoly and we need effective alternatives as well.

Just because Google is the biggest doesn't mean you should not like it. Anyway Facebook actually have the percieved monopoly on the social media right now so by that logic you should hate them instead.

Google are not suited for it. They are engineers and are good at making algorithms. For them to succeed they will need something significantly better than Facebook and I don't see it. Facebook succeeded because it was WAY better than Myspace. How is Google + MUCH better than Facebook? A few new features is not a better product, just different. And anyway, anything Google can do, Facebook can copy within 48 hours. They're just too far behind in this field.
